Friendly and welcoming host. The continental breakfast had a good selection, with optional cooked extras available like scrambled eggs and bacon if you wanted something more substantial. We found the continental breakfast perfectly adequate. A nice bonus was being able to feed the sheep and alpacas during the stay. The location also suited us well, roughly midway between the airport and Dunedin, which worked perfectly as we had a hire car.

Because of our ages (one being 97), we particularly liked being offered downstairs rooms, opening to a large deck where we listened to bell birds and tuis. What a joy that was.

Everything. It was a fabulous place to stay away from the city but close to facilities. Comfortable beds, good shower, and guest kitchen were greatly appreciated, as was the heated towel rack. John looked after us very well.

Facilities were comfortable. Range of options for breakfast. Chatty host. I appreciated him allowing me to do some laundry.

I had mistakenly booked for the wrong night but John was very helpful and able to host us when we arrived. The views were amazing. Location was close to Mosgiel, but you felt like you were far in the countryside. Breakfast was lovely and the whole place is well set up.

Relaxing accommodation, with a very friendly host and curious neighbors, the alpacas, 😉 Very calm surrounding, especially in the night. Just 18min drive to downtown Dunedin, even during peak times.

The location was serene, peaceful and inviting. We felt all alone but were only a short drive from Dunedin. Just beautiful.

what an amazing retreat for our extended family with pets! we stayed there for two nights, really enjoyed the quiet forest and farm, with the pleasing bird chirping outside our windows. Well-equipped rooms and comfy beds; sheep and alpaca feeding was absolutely a bonus!

Location is great, apartment is lovely and had most things you need.

Such a beautiful location. Combined with the frogs at night and the tui and bellbirds in the day the wild life was great to see and hear.

Great location in a quiet area with beautiful views. Our room had everything needed for a comfortable stay and we had a good breakfast in the morning. Feeding Thomas and Donald the alpacas and the sheep before we left was a lovely bonus. Only around ten minutes drive into the town to see the lovely old buildings of Dunedin and a further few minutes to the beautiful Otago peninsula.
