What an amazing place. Very comfortable cabin with everything you need to relax. Great kitchen equipment with good coffee and surprise in the fridge. Really comfortable bed, tv with all apps. Beautiful view from the window, outside sauna and hotel tube is a perfect filling of cute holiday. Hosts are also very helpful and really nice. I will back here with big pleasure

They have thought of everything! Incredibly warm and comfortable with all the home comforts and accessories needed for a relaxing stay. Very quiet and remote but we loved that aspect. Hot tub is amazing and my partner enjoyed the sauna too.

Super cozy and clean and with the best view! Very comfortable, everything we needed (and more) was there. It felt luxurious and cozy and well decorated.. We were with 4 people (2 adults and 2 teens), but it was perfectly fine, the sofa bed was comfortable. The sauna and the hottub are a big bonus! We saw the aurora on the evening we arrived, it was magical…

The design of both the interior and exterior feels like it was crafted by a professional. Whatever your travel plans are, don’t miss the sauna and jacuzzi — they’re absolutely wonderful. You can feel the hosts’ care and thoughtfulness in every corner. I’d love to come back again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Every little detail was thoughtfully taken care of. There were four of us, and we all felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The hot tub and sauna were a special pleasure during the cold Icelandic days — a perfect way to relax.

“Fantastic cabin with lake view”

Everything! Exceeded our expectation. Wonderful cabin with amazing views. It was stocked with many essentials (and more) for the kitchen (lovely coffee) and bathroom. We just didn't find a washing machine but this wasn't a problem as we didn't need it. Plenty of towels, games, candles, reading and colouring books. Everything was clean and comfortable, the sauna and hot tub both worked and were a great way to relax after a long day of exploring. We had a problem with the hot tub temperature being too high however the communication with the owners was brilliant, we receive very quick response and the problem was resolved promptly. Thank you so much for you're hospitality we had a lovely time and hope to return in the future

Absolutely gorgeous location, the view was breathtaking and such a treat to wake up too. In a good location not far from the airport and the city, and has many views and scenic spots around it to visit. Hosts were very helpful with great communication. Would reccomend to anyone, beautiful place to stay.

What a beautiful find in the heart of Iceland’s Golden Circle. We are so pleased to have stayed here and can’t thank Freyr and Ragga enough. They were fantastic hosts, extremely responsive and created a real ‘home away from home’ cabin. The location is breath taking - the lake is vast and the cabin itself is perfectly equipped for a couple to stay with lots of small touches to make your stay even easier! Absolutely recommend booking if you’re looking for somewhere to stay outside of the hustle and bustle of Rek but close enough to all of the tourist attractions. We hope to be back in the near future!

“Absolutely stunning”

Everything. There was nothing not to like. The location is stunning, the cabin was clean, warm and had everything you'd need. Loads off attention to little details, like food and drinks in the fridge and cupboards, heating on so it was warm when we arrived, extra blankets, dressing gowns to use and even games and books to do on a night.

Everything was just perfect, the hosts took care of every detail. The cottage is equipped with everything you may need and it’s located just at the lake, with a beautiful lake vie from the window. After the travel and sightseeing, you can relax in sauna and hot tube, even the bathrobes are ensured :)

Beautiful accommodation by the lake, breathtaking view from the window, privacy.... Very cosy and equipped beyond expectations. Adjustable heating, candles, outside lighting, very romantic! We enjoyed fantastic stay there, thank you 🙂
