The nice pictures provided in the internet. Housekeeping was good and AC worked, even decades old fridcge worked and old but nice bed (no net though) Gym was not modern but quite fine General manager was nice and the only one empowered to provide our free bottled water

The gardens were lovely and beautifully kept. The sea view was good and the sea breeze very welcome. Most of the staff were lovely and all spoke some English

During our stay, my wife fell ill. Diagnosed with severe malaria, she was transferred from the over-worked Moroni public hospital to a private clinic (at the hotel’s initiative). Over the next week, the Retaj’s staff treated us both as family and could not have been more helpful.

I booked the hotel for a staycation for my newlywed wife and me to spend our honeymoon there. Here is some feedback I would like to share: a) The rooms are clean, but the facilities, shower, and toilet could be better. b) I specifically booked half-board meals in advance, including breakfast and dinner. However, the staff was unaware of this, and I had to sort it out with them later. c) One would expect meals to include something to drink, but we had to pay separately for soft drinks. d) The food is the same every time. One would expect some variety. e) The Wi-Fi is substandard and does not work as expected. f) The pool and relaxation area have far too few chairs for the number of guests. g) I did not find the staff particularly friendly, with one or two exceptions. h) It would be much easier if there were staff who could speak English. i) The hotel could do more to assist guests with access to tourist attractions, as well as arranging transport to and from the airport, beaches, and shops. Overall, I believe we could have received better value for money. I do, however, appreciate the staff who went the extra mile, especially in setting up our room to create a honeymoon atmosphere within their limitations. In conclusion, the hotel has great potential, but they need to address the points mentioned above.

The breakfast is good and there is a restaurant to have lunch and dinner. Staff speaks english and they are helpful. Our room was quite big. There is a gym and pool area. The hotel is in a walking distance from the old town, but not really close. They accept euros. Wifi works. They can arrange a pick up from the airport.

Hotel Breakfast menu was same the entire 7 days i was there, lacks options, same meal. Dinner had more options but still if you are late for dinner a bit the food finishes. Additionally since its one of the best 2out of 3 hotels in Comoros, every locals comes in for dinner there be forBirthdays, Parties etc, therefore after 8pm food option decreases worst of all the Dinner price is KMF 6000 (12 Euro) without drink. Overall is a OK place to stay in Comoro since there are no Hotel Options

“Getting old but still comfortable and convenient”

The staff members were very friendly and helpful. My suitcase did not arrive on my flight with me but everything was handled by the hotel and it was brought to the hotel as soon as it arrived. The pizzas are delicious! I really enjoyed wandering around the garden in the mornings and going down to the sea. The location is next door to where I was having my meeting so it was very convenient to just walk there and back every day.
