This was definitely a highlight of our vacation. An absolutely amazing place, with very friendly and helpful hosts, Raffaella and the property manager Darwin. We only saw Darwin when he brought us some refreshments; otherwise, he was like a ghost, even though he stayed at the castle the entire time. 😄 We’d just notice cushions appearing and disappearing, the pool always clean, etc. Both Raffaella and Darwin promptly assisted us with every request we had. Thank you! The property is wonderful and feels truly authentic, the decorations aren’t just for show and include some historical artifacts. The pool was clean and very pleasant, and the view was incredible. For part of our stay, we had the property to ourselves, which was a truly amazing experience. We didn’t miss a thing - cold water was always available in the fridge, there were board games, and even a ping-pong table. Calm, peaceful, and VERY PRIVATE. Exploring the entire property was a magical, game-like experience.

Absolutely magical weekend. We randomly booked a room at this boutique hotel—a castle, no less—and were blown away. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a fairytale. The castle is beautifully restored and tastefully decorated, with every corner telling a story. You can feel the history, but everything is comfortable, warm, and impeccably maintained. What truly set the stay apart was the host—gracious, thoughtful, and effortlessly charming. We were really looked after and Raffaella arranged a dinner reservation at a local restaurant that turned out to be one of the best meals we’ve ever had in Italy. Unpretentious, unforgettable, and bursting with flavor. This was one of those rare spontaneous bookings that turn into lifelong memories. If you’re looking for something special, romantic, and genuinely soulful—this place delivers. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

Really beautiful castle surrounded by vineyards and gorgeous scenery. Raffaella was really helpful and friendly, always checking we were ok. The pool area is the perfect place for relaxing. Plenty of parking. Basic but nice breakfast with fresh croissants. We had an early check out so they kindly did breakfast earlier for us. Short drive to Casteggio and other lovely little towns.

On top of the hill, overlooking vineyards in every direction. Silence, no background music in the building (excellent!). Great pool, big enough for swimming. Good bed. They only have 5 rooms and a suite – very private setting. Old luxury.

It is a stunning location. The pool outside is great and overall it is very quiet. A perfect place to relax.

Nice host, we were the only guests that night so we had the whole castle to ourselves. We had private breakfast and could stay by the pool the next day. Really special and romantic place, would recommend.

Everything was absolutely enchanting! Our group of six friends was treated to a delightful aperitivo that exceeded our expectations. The ambiance of being in a castle was simply magical—effortlessly cool and wonderfully relaxed. We are eagerly counting the days until we can return to this extraordinary place!

This property is absolutely stunning. The fact that there are only six rooms means that it is very peaceful, it often feels as if you have the place to yourself. The swimming pool is a beautiful place to relax and listen to the birds. At night there was a nightingale singing in the garden, which is the first time we’ve heard one. The host is very lovely and friendly. We came for a friend’s wedding nearby, but we will be back again to explore the area further and enjoy this beautiful property.
