Overview
Boasting a natural hot spring bath with a gorgeous lake view, Hotel Shion offers both Japanese-style rooms with traditional futon bedding and Western rooms with beds. Free pick-up shuttles are available from JR Morioka Shinkansen Station, a 20-minute ride away, when reserved at time of booking. Free WiFi is available in public areas. All rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV and a telephone. The private bathroom comes with a bathtub, a hairdryer and free toiletries. Guests at the Shion Hotel can unwind at the public bathing area or enjoy soothing massages at the on-site relaxation salon. A gift shop is also available. Situated right beside Lake Gosho, the hotel is a 12-minute drive from the nearest JR Koiwai Station. Guests can savour Japanese kaiseki multi-course dinner in the facility. A breakfast buffet is served in the dining room.

“Very welcoming lovely staff and incredible food and onsens.”
Beautiful scenery, excellent onsen and delicious food. We stayed in a Japanese style room which showed some age but was very clean and well looked after. The staff were so lovely and attentive and helpful - thankyou!

“A wonderful experience.”
Had a great stay with 3 major baths for their onsen experience. Was able to experience all 3 with the one night stay and 2 meals. Was able to reserve a shuttle ride from/to Morioka Station

“Relaxing”
Large lake-view room. Our fourth stay at this hotel and it didn't disappoint. Good food and you can hire a private onsen. It's a lovely relaxing place to stay.
