Overview
A 1-minute walk from JR Morioka Train Station, Hotel Route-Inn Morioka Ekimae features a hot public bath, a restaurant and massages for ultimate relaxation. A good breakfast from hotel's restaurant which also supplied evening meals in weekdays, albeit with a limited menu: I ate there twice and enjoyed it both times. I also enjoyed the communal hot bath.

“Great value. We extended our stay an extra five days.”
Location was great. Walking distance from station, car hire and many restaurants. Easy to park and drive out of city to numerous ski resorts. Good breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Also a good Onsen.

The 3rd or 4th time staying in this hotel, mostly as a transit hotel to or from ski resorts nearby. We chose it due to the proximity to JR train station and affordable cost. Its money for value when considering the distance, convenience, onsen, acceptable room size. Last stayed before covid. This time, there is a sweet surprise that renovation was conducted for the rooms, which has become more practical (hangers added, some furniture re-arranged to increase space). The lighting system was also changed to digital. One can check from the tv how many people had entered the onsen to decide the right time to enter.

Route inn is always a great option. The rooms are always clean, small and comfortable. The staff were always helpful. Great onsen and breakfast.
