Overview
Located a 12-minute walk from JR Morioka Station, about a 2-minute walk to downtown Morioka Odori, Hotel New Carina is located in the center of Morioka City. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, and you can watch Video On Demand (various kinds of movies, variety shows, etc.) for free in the guest rooms. Facilities such as air conditioning, LCD TV, refrigerator, electric kettle, dryer and bath amenities and disposable slippers are also available in the rooms. The reception is open 24 hours a day. The hotel has a cafe and a coin launderette and drink vending machines. For breakfast, you can enjoy a menu using local ingredients in a buffet style. Morioka Castle Ruins Park is a 5-minute walk, Tsunagi Onsen and Koiwai Farm are about 30 minutes by car, and World Heritage Hiraizumi is about 60 minutes by car.

“Great location, good pillow selection”
The twin room was spacious enough. The location of the hotel was great, close to supermarket. Also close to the main street with restaurants. Also had other pillows in lobby you could use.

“Great location within a beautiful city”
Very nice location to explore Morioka from. Centered within the shopping/restaurant district. All highlights of the town were within walking distance. Close to the station. Very friendly personnel, when we asked for a restaurant recommendation they pulled out maps and called the place to confirm they had space.

“Comfortable rooms in a good location.”
Hotel was far from the train station but easy to get to if you are driving or don’t mind walking 15 minutes. Room was large with a large size unit bath/bathroom. Beds were soft and comfortable. Rooms had their own heating and cooling.

“Good for a quick stay!”
The hotel is within a decent walking distance to the main train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we checked in and out.

Fair price and close to downtown. Nice staff. The room above ours made loud noise which woke us up after the midnight. Eventually, staff offered another room for us to stay in the middle of the night
