Everything was great, staff, comfort, wifi, breakfast!

“Tranquil,”

Delicious breakfast, lovely hosts. An amazing view of both the jungle and the beach.

We were in our honeymoon and arrived after a long and journey. The property is very remote and requires a drive through the mountains, so reaching it took real effort and anticipation. Initially, the owners were polite and welcoming. However, shortly after arrival, we noticed very large and visible political signs expressing support for Gaza displayed on the property. As Israelis who have lost family members and friends in this devastating war, or other daily ter*or attacks, this was deeply painful. Like most Israeli travelers, we come in peace. We travel to connect, rest, not to bring politics with us. Seeing such a sign made us feel marked, unwelcome, almost like outcasts. Many people outside Israel dont truly understand what daily life is like for us here. My partner and I have personally lived through real danger, including situations involving stabbing attacks, and bus explosions by Jih@dists. You truly wouldn't even understand how it's like for us here.. daily. Living with the constant fear of ter*or simply for being born Jewish is a reality we carry every day. No one should wave political signs at us without basic knowledge about this conflict. Because of this, we decided to leave the hotel after about an hour. We shared how hurt we felt, but received no apology. The owner said "I respect your decision".. and obviously no refund, which we believe would have been the right and humane response. The place itself is okay, but very remote and facilities are a bit outdated, but the view is beautiful. Sadly, the political messaging overshadowed everything. **We wouldnt recommend this hotel to Israeli travelers. Or anyone who believes that tourism should be a neutral and safe space, not a divisive one. It took me a month to decide if I want to write this review, I'm not here dor the "shaming", but I decided to warn other Israelis, and also to express again how we painful it was for us.

“Wonderful hostel with great view, facilities and very kind hosts.”

Bela and Bruno are wonderful and kind hosts. They welcomed me warmly, helped me with any question I would have and made me feel a bit like home on travels. The Hostel is so lovely and nicely decorated, has a stunning view over the woods and you can still get a glimps of the beach and sea from the terrace. The breakfast was wonderful every day, and the beds are comfortable and you have air con in the rooms. The bathrooms have been modern and were super clean. From the hostel it is a 15 min walk to Moreré and is easily accesible by squad taxi from Boipeba village. An overall wonderful experience, I would definitely come back, thank you Bela and Bruno!

Amazing hostel with amazing owners, and an amazing view! Had the best time here, the people in the dorm were great and we spent several days together on the beach during our time in the island. Such an amazing place, highly recommend!

“Amazing tranquil experience”

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at and by far the best in Brazil. Beautiful setting in the treetops. Spent a whole day relaxing in the hammock to reset. Facilities are great and very clean. Curtains, lights and PowerPoints for each bed. Delicious fresh Tapioca and fruit for breakfast. Bele and Bruno are fantastic hosts. With only 12 beds it feels homely. 10min walk to Moreré beach, or you can get a quad taxi for R20 if you don’t want to walk up the hill at the end of the day. Boipeba town is an 40min walk or R35 quad taxi ride. Island is very safe and can easily relax and explore. Extended my stay multiple times and didn’t want to leave!

The Place is stunning! I was Alone in the dormitory and I had the most relaxing time ever. Bela, her husband and the stuff are the most welcoming human beings, the Breakfast is super delicious and the energy of the hostel is very lovely. Perfect choice to have a regenerative moment and also explore the best beaches of the island! See you next time ❤️

“Um otimo lugar, vista perfeita !”

Exceptional view and comfortable rooms. I met nice people there, with who to hang out. A bit far from cities but this is why you choose this hostel, right ? Anyway, 7-10 min walk down to Morere and 15 min ATV to boipeba.

“Best view from Moreré - Boipeba”

It was my second time in Boipeba, I stayed for 2 nights at Oxe hostel and I just wanted to stay longer. The hostel has an amazing view, breakfast was 10/10 and the great hospitality of Bruno and Bela makes the atmosphere even better. Hostel is 10-15 mins walk from Moreré beach and close to some other paradisiac beaches like Bainema. My advice is to visit Castelhanos beach by crossing the mangroves, it is a 1 - 1.5 hrs hike from the hostel, it's totally worth it, just ask Bruno and Bela about it.

Beautiful hostel with very kind owners and a delicious breakfast. I think there's only about 12 beds so it creates a really nice small atmosphere. The kitchen is well equipped and everything is clean. I absolutely loved staying here thank you Bella and Bruno!

Friends of the owner came over. We played some poker pool and cards. It was an incredible atmosphere. The same with the view. Just incredible!

One of my favourite places I've stayed. It was low season so I had the dorm room to myself, and would have been a bit different if the hostel was busy- the common areas aren't huge and I had them all to myself, which was great. It's like a hostel in a treehouse, with amazing views of the surrounding valley and beach. 5 mins walk to morere beach which is a paradise-esque quiet beach. The next beach along is completely deserted and v nice. The hosts are such nice people and really make the difference. I felt very at home and that anything I needed would be (and was) catered to. For example, my onward travel was a little complex and Bella spent time making sure I knew exactly where to go and what transport to take. Much appreciated!
