“Quirky, welcoming and great for motorbikers.”

The decor was very different and fun.The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. We appreciated being able to park our motorbike in their locked garage. I loved the bar area it operated on an honestly box basic and offered a variety of drinks and snacks. Tea and coffee were complimentary. We paid extra for breakfast, and I had scrambled eggs on toast, which were freshly prepared and delicious.

Monzón de Campos is a charming, tiny town. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming to me and my dog. The breakfast was absolutely lovely, and my room was extremely clean and very comfy. I will definitely book there again on my next trip.

Travelling to Santander for ferry Ann chose property for location- short diversion from motorway - and accepts dogs. Couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. Very welcoming, comfortable and clean. Trouble taken with interior decoration, nice touches like kettles and tea. Small communal lounge with wood burner. Breakfast was additional but good choices and coffee refills. Nice restaurant /bar opposite that let us take dog into the restaurant rather than sit outside in the cold. Small town with not a lot obviously happening but there are two other bars next to the town hall and the castle is open on weekdays.

What a brilliant, charming hotel. The host was excellent, so cheery & nothing was too much trouble. We were only there one night as travelling down to Portugal but it was perfect in every way. Excellent breakfast. The outside shady courtyard with an honesty bar was just what was needed as it was a hot day. Restaurant opposite, good food but large portions.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was very reasonable at 6 Euro's. Lovely little courtyard area to sit it with an honesty bar, stocked with wine, beer, soft drinks, ice cream & snacks. Bed very comfortable. Great place to stay if you are going into Palencia as only about 8km away

Great stopover enroute to Portugal. Staff spoke great English. Very friendly. Free tea and coffee on offer freely available. Spotless room. Ate a nice meal at the restaurant opposite owned by the hotel. Nice little place perfect to explore. We had a very pleasant walk up to the castle ruins that overlook the town. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful.

Overall very comfortable stay, good food, good beds. some rooms are more spacious than others.
