The restaurant at the hotel was fantastic. Excellent food, with an even better view. Our room was a good size and had tea making facilities.

We enjoyed a view over the Loire and chateau from our top floor room. The hotel is set on a quiet road which we appreciated. Breakfast was excellent served in a beautifully lit space carved out of the rock

Nice and quiet location with a great view of the Chateau with secure parking. Friendly staff, some speak fluent English. Nice breakfast with excellent orange juice.

“Beautiful old country village hotel”

This place has lots of character. In a really old building, down a narrow street in a lovely village right on the Loire. Room was a funny shape, and large with a huge bed. Dinner was in restaurant opposite which had a large garden facing the river. Breakfast was in the cellar, basically a converted cave. Fabulous Staff didn't squeak a word of English but we got the job done!!

The whole visit, to fulfilling our request for a room overlooking the chateau, the nearness of the restaurant with excellent food. The breakfast was filling The excellent views and the weather!

“Peaceful night in a charming hotel overlooking the Loire”

Scenic location and a building with character. Our room had a great view of the River Loire and the Chateaux. We only stayed one night on the way back to the UK but managed to catch the excellent Sunday Market in the village in the morning before leaving. Breakfast is served in a cave.

“Most Enjoyable Stay”

A very comfortable hotel if a little tired. Breakfasts were excellent with lovely pastries, homemade yoghurt, fruit, cheese, meats etc and the best orange juice! The staff were so lovely too, we really enjoyed our second stay here and would happily book here again the next time we come to Montsoreau.

“Lovely period hotel in a great location!”

Beautiful old building, which has been sensitively modernised. Our room, (Bedroom No.8), was large, quiet, very clean, and had a stunning view out to the chateau and river. The receptionist who greeted us was lovely. Free parking directly opposite the hotel and a lovely restaurant attached to the hotel.
