No host on arrival. 3 attempts to get the correct key code to open the door. Entrance door taped up with broken glass. Rusty outdoor furniture, broken bottle glass on the balcony floor with rubbish and to shock it all discharged bullet casings. Dirty interior furniture.

“Beautiful setting and close to the lovely towns of Montsoreau & Candes Saint Martin.”
The swimming pool was a definite highlight and so very welcome after a long 60km cycle ride in 30+ degrees. Alexandra met us and instantly set the relaxed tone we needed, providing us with a refreshing bottle of Rose and showing us the walking route down to Montsoreau. The chalet was perfect for our short stay and we only wish we’d had another day to explore the surroundings more as well as enjoy the pool. Highly recommend the creperie in Montsoreau.

The pictures of the outside area and the pool didn't do justice to how truly amazing it was. The view from the balcony was fantastic, so calm and peaceful overlooking the woods. beautiful in summer, and I imagine lovely in cooler months too. Alex was also super helpful, and the wine was a tasty surprise. Conveniently placed to visit the local attractions too.

Jean and Julien were very helpful. Jean the caretaker has provided us with very good tips and was always available. The property has a lot of charm and we will surely come back again.
