Nice and clean motel that has been modernised. Free breakfast in the reception was a nice to have. Very close to the Black Canyon, which is why we stayed in Montrose.

“If I had known, I would not book a room in this lodge.”

If you are looking for expensive, noisy and tiny room, you got to the right place. I have requested a quiet room in advance and I got a message via booking that the lodge would be able to arrange ghat for me. Yet, upon arrival, They denied receiving that message and when they searched further they found it but said they have not seen it or missed it and they cannot accommodate my request. Needless to say that I have not slept that night due to the traffic on the main road where the lodge was located. Very poor service. Cannot recommend this lodge! Also the nightly rate was much expensive than all other lodging we stayed in during our visit in Colorado. This room was by far the most expensive of them all and the smallest. Very disappointing!

“Short drive to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park”

Room was very clean and spacious, and could park right in front of the door. Nice little grab 'n' go breakfast bites, coffee, and filtered cold water. Short drive to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, and lots of restaurant options nearby. There is also a nice park nearby called Riverbottom Park. Staff were very courteous and helpful. :-)

Great experience, quick and friendly check in. Room was in good size and clean. Beds were comfortable. For the money we have paid the standard was more than we expected to be. I can recommend it to anyone who can visit Black Canyon of Gunnison Park as it is very close. I was surprised we were offered tea,coffee and snacks for the breakfast which was very nice of the Motor Lodge.

We stayed in a remodelled room with 2 queens. Very comfy and quiet. You can park in front of your room and there is no second floor (no neighbors above). Key code for late arrivals. Good value for money at Montrose.
