“A great find in a pretty French town”

Beautifully styled, thoughtfully presented and very comfortable. The breakfast was incredible and a real treat - freshly baked bread and brioche along with other amazing French goodies

Communication was good prior to our arrival. We were made to feel very welcome and the whole place had a really homely feel. The fires were laid ready to light, tea and biscuits put out for us on arrival. It was decorated really beautifully and creatively, gave me some good ideas for home improvements. We walked around the ramparts, but didn’t get time to explore the park. We will definitely go back. It’s not far from Calais, so we stopped for an afternoon and a night on the way back to the UK. The walks look lovely around there though so we will go for longer next time.

Faultless attention to detail. Charming staff and superb breakfast. My 2nd favourite hotel in the world as far as style and value. My 1st is Raffles in Singapore so you can see how much I love the place.

We have stayed a couple of times here , great location & rooms , small place , but that’s the charm of it. At night you it’s like being in your own home with a comfortable downstairs lounge to yourself. Would definitely recommend!

Every single element of the design, colour palate, furniture choice, room design and the tiny finishing touches were all impeccable. The fire place and white Greek style seating area in the graphic vine lined conservatory was beautiful and we hope to use when we return. Sadly we only had a quick overnight stay. The breakfast as others have said was exceptional. The homemade brioche freshly baked and collected from the Boulangerie across the square was delicious and perfectly presented with homemade confiture and a piece of butter parcelled up with a bow. The beds were comfortable. The toiletries were Devine and even included a bath scrunchie. The little nook would have been lovely to spend an afternoon reading and another element we will use on our return. We have decided to spend our 20th Wedding Anniversary here in October and can’t wait. Jessica was the perfect host and Froggy’s where we ate gave us the best starter we have ever had.

We loved Le Pieux! We arrived after check in time but they kindly waited for us to arrive. In the gorgeous lounge they had herbal tea and cookies waiting for us. Wild flower arrangements were beautiful and the furnishings were very chic. Our room had a hall, living room and bedroom with a freestanding tub and a separate shower. Breakfast was amazing: a selection of cheeses, salami, fruit, home made jams and a special panettone like loaf made in their own bakery. The hotel was just off the main square and the ramparts were close by. The receptionist was charming! Can't recommend it enough.
