Lovely, characterful property. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Very quiet location. The host was a lovely lady. Spacious grounds to relax in. Excellent breakfast in a separate building in the garden - everything delicious - the bread / hams and cheeses were very nice. We enjoyed it so much we've changed our last night stop for our next trip to France so we stay here again. Montreuil -sur -Mer is a great village - lots of bars and restaurants - a nice relaxed vibe. Great walk around the ramparts - especially at sunset.

Beautiful quirky property with great attention to detail. Rooms are themed and the garden is lovely. Breakfast was served in another building in the garden and was excellent.

The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast, with all local produce, was fantastic and the hosts made us feel very welcome. The property has clearly had a long history and this is tastefully reflected in the decoration of the rooms and gardens.

Very peaceful just outside town walls. Fairly easy walk into centre - not far but uphill on way in! Lovely garden including garden room where breakfast is served. Full of character and very friendly hosts.

The room was extremely well presented & we were delighted to find an option to buy wine on site. The breakfast was excellent. Our overall feeling was that this place paid exceptionally good attention to detail & we loved it!

All stays should be like this. The welcome from the hosts was friendly and informative. Everything was thought of - a microwave, plates and cutlery to use in our room. Our host even booked us a restaurant in town for that evening. The breakfast was delightful with home made yoghurt and jams as well as pancakes and bread and cheese from the local area. Great location with a short walk into town. Free parking in the street outside. Comfortable bed and beautifully decorated room. There’s nothing we didn’t love.

Our hosts were incredibly kind, thoughtful and generous with their offers of help. Google maps did not lead us to La Tannerie so they drove to us and led us there! Nothing seemed too much trouble.

An absolutely amazing place to stay. Each room has been done with so much thought, it didn’t go unnoticed. The place is stunning; rooms that were huge, comfortable with everything you could need. Just a pity we didn’t need more than one night! Great stop off for Calais though. The breakfast was amazing too, with attention to detail, lovely croissants and lovely home made yogurt. Thank you Lydie and Frédéric for inviting us into your home and sharing your adorable little dogs too!

The room was beautiful, large and original, with very thoughtful touches (for example, a shoehorn, an umberella, and tea and coffee making facilities, and the hosts were great. The gardens were beautiful too, and the breakfasts great.

A lovely B&B less than one hour away from Calais. The room was very comfortable - and Lydie very kindly provided a cot and changing mat for our baby. And breakfast was delicious - they were even able to serve it to us early as we needed to leave at 7:30an to catch our train. The centre of Montreuil sur Mer is only 10 minutes away, full of lovely restaurants, bars and shops. Our stay was far too short - we hope to be back next year for longer!
