“A very pleasant stay in an authentic home.”
We were warmly welcomed on arrival. Like many other places, it would have been useful to have a small written paper on how to work out the wifi and the heating. The Manoir has a real feel of an historic home.An easy short walk into the village. Breakfast was very nice and with home made jam and croissants ( which sadly got burnt but there were alternatives! ) Bellay is a very nice little town. There was only one restaurant open, Le Gourmandisier, which was excellent.

The host was excellent, could not do enough for us from the moment we arrived. The accommodation was exceptional. Lovely decor and the most comfortable bed I think I have ever slept in in a hotel. Slept like a baby. The breakfast was excellent, home made yogurt and apple juice. Scrambled eggs to die for. 10/10

Perfect location for visiting the chateau de Montreuil Bellay. Huge room with views over the park. Delicious breakfast. The owners are extremely welcoming and helpful. They offered to book a restaurant for us and spent a long time over breakfast chatting to us.

Beautiful character Manor House set in rustic grounds. Very friendly welcome from charming hosts who speak good English. Only 3 bedrooms so a good personal service. Situation centrally in the walled town close to the Chateau.

Gorgeous property, nice place for kids and adults to relax. Good breakfast and nice hosts. High antique quality furnishings in the rooms! They have a family room with 4 beds! Finally a nice house with a family room opposed to 2 rooms split.

“Charming and friendly.”
We had a charming stay. It is a beautiful property which has been tastefully decorated. Owners are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent especially the home made yogurt. We just had a one night stay but wish we could have stayed longer.

“Dreamy evening at Manoir Du Bellay”
We stayed at Manoir du Bellay for one evening on our way down to the South of France. The manor house and its gardens are incredibly beautiful and well looked after. The town was equally charming and the location of the accommodation is great for exploring on foot. The room was incredibly spacious, clean and comfortable. Our host was attentive and even woke up extra early to offer us a lovely homemade breakfast as we had to get back on the road, which was very kind. We felt very at home even though our stay was short. Thank you!

Beautiful old building sensitively renovated, lovely host and good quiet location. Breakfast was good and in a lovely room and convivial atmosphere. Large garden accessible for picnic lunch with Philippe the host generously giving us wine.

“We really enjoyed our overnight stay and plan to return later in the year.”
Great location, within easy walking distance of the Chateau and restaurants. Very quiet. Peaceful garden with a very friendly dog. Spacious, clean and very comfortable room renovated to a very high standard. As we were using the train, we were able to leave our bags with the proprietor during the day of our departure date which was very beneficial.

“Can not recommend the Manoir du Bellay highly enough”
Really lovely stay in a beautiful old Manor House. Owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast with home made yogurt and home pressed apple juice. Beautiful garden which we were invited to use. Bellay is a beautiful old town.

“The perfect place to explore the valley”
Our recent stay was so relaxing and peaceful! The mansion is a beautiful example of the region’s architecture, the family apartment is really cozy. The wonderful garden was our favorite part, and we had a great time there. The breakfast was also delicious. Philippe and his wife were very attentive and caring with our family, they made us feel like at home.

“Charming experience”
Philippe and his beautiful family took a good care of us on our two nights stay in their stunning Manoir. The rooms are beautifully decorated with modernized bathrooms, we had picnics in the beautiful garden and played ping pong while the white furry friend was by our side. We highly recommend this charming estate and the friendly atmosphere that this welcoming family has created.
