We had an extremely friendly reception from Richard and Yvonne after a long day of travel. They also offered advice about where we might eat as this was the Ascension holiday period and many places were shut. Their house is a beautiful old property with thick walls which was perfect as the temperature approached 30C. Our room was nicely decorated and our bed was very comfortable. Richard and Yvonne enjoy meeting people and after spending many days struggling with our poor French and Spanish it was great to be able to chat to two Brexit refugees! Breakfast was sumptuous - too much for just the two of us and everything you could want from a Continental breakfast.

Beautifully renovated, very pretty location and garden was wonderful. The couple who run La Bicyclette were wonderfully helpful and really made us feel at home. Super comfy beds and very good value for money :)

“A Perfect Stay”

Richard & Yvonne are wonderful hosts & made us feel at home immediately. we sat in their lovely garden with them & chatted as if with old friends over a couple of glasses of wine. Our bedroom & bathroom were very comfortable & beautifully decorated. The breakfast was super with too much on offer to write down. Nothing was too much trouble for our wonderful hosts & we were sorry we weren't staying longer. Montmorillon is a lovely little town to explore with a good choice of places to eat. Also we were able to literally park opposite the front door of the house.

lovely house in a great town. The charming hosts, Richard and Yvonne, have designed and decorated their home to provide immaculate comfortable accommodation for their guests. Beautiful modern bathroom with plenty of hot water. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast was exceptional. We enjoyed a drink in the pretty garden with our hosts when we arrived.

Delightful couple, super en suite bedroom and we enjoyed a drink with them on their terrace which was very inclusive of them, breakfast in their traditionally furnished dining room was magnificent and in a point of detail we had discussed varieties of French bread the night before and at breakfast along with my croissant was the traditional bread I like, great attention, absolutely no hesitation in recommending this venue
