“No Electricity, No Heat. No reply about refund.”
My daughter and I arrived in the night to a cabin with no electricity and no heating. There was a power outage in the area and the owner came and called Enedis, but they couldn't send anyone out on a Friday night. So we had to find a last-minute hotel 20 minutes away in Barbizon. I originally booked this accomodation to use the canoes and enjoy the river. But that was not possible as we could not stay there night 1. On Day 2, I had no word from the owner. Finally at 1:15pm I sent him a message and asked for a refund since we weren't staying and therefore needed to return to Paris that evening. He replied at 2pm and simply told me electricity had been restored, but he failed to communicate this to me when that happened. Another very important note, is the owner changed the property after I booked and paid in full. NOT Les Cygnes au bord du loing. The RAVINE is the location we came upon to with no electricity and no heat. While using my phone flashlight, the inside furnishings did not at all meet standards like in the photos of this listing. An old leather couch, old bed and bed linens, and a stale smell. I would not have booked this place if I had seen the photos - La RAVINE does not look like this nicely decorated cabin. Very misleading overall in this experience. The owner has not replied to my request for a full refund.

“Messing about on the river!”
The river at the end of the garden and all the provisions to get out on it! Franck has set this up so well. There were plenty of canoes for us as a family of 4 to get out and enjoy the river. Plus all you need, paddles, life jackets etc. Also very handy location to get out into the forest for some bouldering. Very quiet and peaceful location. The TV was great and the WiFi was reliable.

Amazing location for dawn and sunset dips and kingfisher spotting. The canoes really made the holiday. Good base for exploring Font and its surroundings and day trips by train to Paris. Comfortable beds, good shower, outdoor furniture, kitchen had all the equipment we needed and a decent sized fridge. Everything was modern. Plenty of privacy. Great supermarket within walking distance.

Location is just next to the water. Out of bed into the river. if that is what you like, this is the perfect place. There is a bakery and small supermarket nearby and dining options all within walking distance
