I did love to feel welcome at the Montevideo Hostel! The location was great! You can walk to the beach or to the Ciudad Vieja… Annette prepares handmade bread and different things for the guests. I just loved my stay!!!

“Great value for money hostel in Montevideo”

The owners were extremely nice and friendly! They bake fresh cakes for every breakfast and let you eat them throughout the day! Not only that, they let my friend come in on her birthday to celebrate and they gave her a free homemade pizza! The location is also a short walk from the beach and multiple markets.

The hostel has lots of space, a nice common area and a terrace. It is well located in a quiet part of Montevideo and it is really safe. The beds are comfortable and the owner and the other guests were really nice.

Montevideo hostel feels like you're being welcomed into someone's home. Not only the look and feel of the place but the way you are treated by the host, it is such a lovely place to stay. The breakfast is the best I've had in my 3 months travelling (lots of sweet and savoury options and loads of it, so much more than the classic cereal and bread) and there's even cake left out mid-afternoon. The beds are very comfortable and it has a good seating area to socialise so it's good for solo travelers too.

“Beautiful hostel felt Like at home”

I loved my stay AT the hostel. Its Like staying with Family AT home. Lot of space. Between the old Town and the beaches. Very safe. Always fresh fruits Lot of food or Coffee abailable. We even Got invited to asado with the whole Family. The host is very Lovely and help with everything you need. Would always come back.

The host is amazing. The building is beautiful and kept so clean. Breakfast is plentiful, toast, cereal, fruit, juices and eggs available if you want to cook them and tea/coffee.

Location is excellent and Annette is very attentive and polite. She treats their guests like a mum. Muchas Gracias!

I loved it here,a very comfortable hostel in a nice safe area. Annette is such a lovely host,she makes everyone feel so welcome and is up very early to provide guests with a lovely breakfast buffet. When you arrive back in the evening,there is always freshly homemade cakes and snacks available.

After 2 nights here I had put on half a kilo! One of my top hostels worldwide. Annette was so welcoming from the second I walked through the door. Tea, coffee, fruit juice, toast, and fresh fruit available 24/7. And cake! So much cake! And croque Monsieur for breakfast. And a big hug when I left

The host Annette is absolutely amazing! She is running the place with passion and full commitment to make your stay enjoyable. She's an amazing chef and loves to bake aswell. Everyday there's something new homemade on the table. It all tastes absolutely amazing and the best thing is that the food and coffee/tee is available throughout the whole day/night. Self-service 24/07 whenever you are hungry/thirsty. She even made some homemade dinner free of charge for us (we were a lucky small group of travellers and obviously this can't be expected for anyone who's deciding to stay at the place). It also has a beautiful small balcony which has a nice view on the road. Room, bed, bathroom, shower all clean and well working. Overall just a perfect stay. Can recommend it 100%!

The host Annette and her husband Mario are incredible people with a huge heart. Always concerned with our well-being, not to mention sharing ideas and experiences. The night of pizza and wine was wonderful and I will definitely return when I'm in Montevideo. Annette, thank you for everything and come to Brazil for a visit🇧🇷.
