Located between Santa Elena and Monteverde. Peaceful and a few minutes walk from restaurants and a wholefood store as well as an exceptional reserve in which we saw so much wildlife. Would definitely recommend staying here.

So enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. Marcella was very welcoming. Spacious, elegantly furnished & terrace for sitting out surrounded by lovely garden. Very quiet, peaceful, relaxing setting, away from main road, but only 10 minutes from Monteverde cloud forest and 30 minutes from Santa Elena Reserve. Washer/drier was very useful halfway through our trip.

Close to Monteverde Institute which was great for short trails with donation and chance to see wildlife. Friendly host. Well appointed kitchen. Bird life around the property. Close to Curichanga reserve which was great for birdwatching and the informative good value guided tour in the morning enabled further self exploration that day. Good hummingbird spot.

The hosts were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Monteverde House is located very close to Curi Cancha reserve (they share almost the same entrance) and is very well located for Monteverde cloud forest reserve as well. We had an entire house to ourselves and it is equipped with everything you need including a washing machine which was the main reason we booked the stay. Our hosts were very helpful and responsive at all times. The house was clean and spacious. Due to location I'll note that the house is located at the top of some hills and you need a good car/SUV to get up there.

This isnt just a house, Marcela helped us with so many things. Our lugage was lost on our flight, marcela calmed us down, helped us with calls to the lugage department and after 3 days we got them back. Also becasue of this we arrived very late around 00.00 but she always kept in contact with us making sure we didnt have to worry about anything. The house itself is amazing! Right next to curi cancha and in the gardens around we saw keel billed toucans, hummingbirds and many more. We have stayed in alot of houses in alot of countrys but this was our best experience ever thanks to Marcela. If i could give 100/10 I would. Very clean and comfortable.

Marcela was very kind and welcoming and assisted us when we needed it :) The house is beautiful and cozy, with everything necessary in the kitchen and comfortable beds. The living space is also comfortable and practical, with a sofa, a dining table and kitchen, pretty in design and spotlessly clean. The washer-dryer was invaluable, especially in the humid climate, and the balcony-garden combination was magical! That morning coffee at the balcony table, watching colibris 30 cm away and breathing the garden air, that was one of my favourite spots in all this vacation.

“Best location for your Monteverde stay”

Nice little house located at almost walking distance to three reserves in Monteverde.

We had a fantastic stay at Monteverde House. The room is really spacious and comfortable, and Marcela is a really friendly and helpful host. I would definitely stay here again! The apartment is very spacious and has everything you need. There is even a Netflix account! The bed is large and comfortable. Everything in the kitchen was good quality and worked well. There is no air con, so it was warm in the day, but there is a fan and the climate is comfortable and cool at night. The windows have bug screens to allow ventilation. The washing machine works really well, and Marcela provided some essentials in the apartment (oil, salt, pepper, teas, sugar, coffee, laundry powder). The bathroom is spacious. The shower doesn't have separate temperature control, but it's comfortable and the pressure is acceptable. Marcela is a really friendly host. She met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the apartment. She also helped arrange a fantastic birding tour of the Cloud Forest with Raúl, and we saw some incredible birds! The location is quite remote, but there is a vegetarian supermarket within walking distance. Stella's, by the supermarket, is lovely but not open for dinner. Curi-Cancha Reserve is within walking distance; the Cloud Forest visitor centre could be walkable but it's uphill! We didn't have a car and it wasn't a problem, although with a car clearly there are more options.

“Perfect location, cozy house in Monteverde”

The house was perfect for our family of three. Marcela prepared everything really well for our arrival and met us with great hospitality. The kitchen, shower and bedrooms had everything we need, and a washing machine was a much appreciated bonus! We enjoyed the time on the house porch, there are so many birds around in the green lush surroundings. Walking distance to Curi Cancha wildlife reserve and to Bajo el Tigre conservancy, both were great experiences.

A wonderful stay! Enormous apartment, really comfortable bed, clean and the kitchen had everything needed. Thoughtful hosts, even gave me fresh aloe Vera for sunburn. Excellent location in tru Monteverde, Stella's for brunch, delicious.

It’s a wonderful quiet oasis away from all the tourist bustle. A great kitchen with all the things you might need. Everything thoughtfully done - coffee, tea bags and washing powder.

Lovely bright spacious studio in a quiet location but walking/short drive to all the main attractions and restaurants. Lovely comfy bed and tasteful furnishings. Marcela was warm and welcoming providing fruit and coffee and helping us with recommendations about where to eat and recommending and reserving tours in the reserves . There are capuchin monkeys, coatis, mott mott birds who come and visit . Highly recommended. We really enjoyed eating at Tomas and Thiago and the hummingbird galllery
