Everything was amazing!! Staff was great too!! Check in was very smooth, the room was incredible, breakfast was delicious too. My partner forgot his smart watch and the hotel managed to send it to another hotel in San Jose for us to pick up when leaving the country - incredibly grateful they did that for us.

This is a fantastic location with an amazing view ☺️ you can walk down to the city, it takes about 10 minutes. Julia and her father were very welcoming and sweet.

“The perfect Monteverde get away”
Sofia and her family were so welcoming, the perfect hosts. The room was exactly as pictured and very comfortable. The view from the grounds was breathtaking with the most amazing sunsets. We were also visited by monkeys as well as Jennifer & Shakira the resident Agoutis.

“Unforgettable stay”
We had a wonderful stay at hotel flor de bromelia. The hosts were incredibly helpful and kind, including making dinner reservations and booking our activities. David put a huge smile on our faces every morning as he introduced us to the agoutis, coatis and monkeys who share the grounds with the hotel. The view is speculator and the breakfast was great. It was the highlight of monteverde for us - would highly recommend.

Hotel Flor de Bromelia was in the perfect location for us. Everything we wanted to do in this area was only a short drive away. We had a lovely cabin with some lovely views and lots of birds landing on near by trees to watch whilst sitting outside on the balcony. Especially loved the toucans. The cabin itself was lovely, it had everything you needed. It was a little dark inside but we weren’t inside much so it really wasn’t a problem. The breakfast there was delicious, and all of the staff were very friendly and super helpful, helped us with booking the activities we wanted to do and even arranged some of it for us. Whilst having breakfast we were lucky enough to see many humming birds, White nosed coatis and Agoutis.

Wonderful staff, really accommodating. We were in Agouti and had a fantastic view over the valley from our room and the sunsets from the garden are spectacular. We saw agoutis and capuchin monkeys from our room.

“Amazing views”
Completely amazing view right down to the sea. Balcony with monkeys in the trees. Comfy beds with a little kitchen and a kettle so we could make English tea! Great breakfast room and the waiter was lovely!

“Stay here for the view.”
The superb view is what you really remember from staying here. I wasn't expecting to see the Pacific and sunset was spectacular. The staff are very friendly and helpful and introduced us to the local wildlife at breakfast. Monkeys, agouti and a family of coati. Amazing to see them so close. We did have a problem with the first room we were given, a leaking gutter kept us awake during some rain. This could have spoiled our stay, but the staff did the right thing and moved us to another room, also with an exceptional view. Things do go wrong, it's what happens next that matters and I can recommend this hotel based on our experience of how things were put right. The beds were comfortable and the kitchenette welcome. Recommend having your own transport.
