“A memorable stay in paradise garden”
The location is lovely and very convenient, with easy access to all amenities. The staff is simply wonderful, warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. I forgot to mention that one of my daughters is lactose intolerant, and at breakfast they immediately offered to prepare fresh pancakes just for her, which meant a lot to us. The area feels very safe and almost like a hidden secret garden…peaceful and beautifully maintained. Maria was especially helpful, taking the time to explain all the tours and options so clearly. Hotel surrounded by amazing nature. The garden is very beautiful. Great location, walking distance from Santa Elena and close distance by car to Monteverde parks and other places of interested. Lovely people welcoming both at reception and at breakfast. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable.

“Needed warmer weather to really appreciate this hotel.”
The location of this hotel is excellent, a short walk to the restaurants and shops in Santa Elena. It has lovely gardens which we sat out in when the sun did come out. Our own terrace to sit out on was also welcome but it was shady so too cold for evenings. The extra blankets were welcome however. The room was large and I really enjoyed the jacuzzi bath which I used on our last night. Breakfast was simple but good quality, typical Costa Rican. It does not have facilities of some hotels but the family feel made it feel under- rated somehow.

Absolutely fantastic accommodation! Lovely, comfortable and clean room. Beautiful big garden, lovingly tended. Saw toucans and hummingbirds from our terrace. The staff are really helpful, giving great advice, always friendly. Perfect location, 5 minutes away from great restaurants. Felt totally at home here. I can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation.

We absolutely loved Hotel Claro de Luna. From the moment we arrived everyone was so friendly. The grounds are beautiful. Our room was very spacious with a veranda. The hotel is just a short walk to the town centre. The breakfast was amazing and especially the home made jam. Would definitely stay here again.

“Great stay!”
This hotel was exactly as presented on the photos. Room was spacious, clean and equipped with all possible neccessities. Bed was very comfortable and it had blankets which were surprisingly useful during the night as it cools down in Monteverde after sundown. Breakfast was nice, with options to choose from. It is a hotel with a soul. Room did not have AC but it was completely not needed (at least in November) as the temperature in the room and outside was pleasant and the air is not humid at all.
