“Simple and cheap - easy access to town.”

Good price - including breakfast. This was the typical rice and beans, or 'tinto'. Facilities are as described - and as simple as expected at the price. The hosts are very warm and welcoming. We spent one of the evenings chatting, swapping English and Spanish, with the young daughter who was keen to put into practice her school learning. The hostel is just a few minutes walk, down the hill, to town - so all facilities there are easy to access.

The couple Sady and Mario are so wonderful. You cannot have better people.host you. They are so sweet, very professional but warm. The place is small but you don't feel like it. I was there with my husband and 2 kids and they were fabulous. Sadly even took my boys to the park nearby for a walk. Breakfasts was great. The place is cute and quaint. Alot of value for your money staying here!

Very cozy, staff was very welcoming. They were very patient with my beginner Spanish. Great location close to downtown. Loved the dogs and pig in the basement. Amazing breakfast and coffee!

As soon as I arrived, I felt like at home. My favourite place in Costa Rica. Excellent atmosphere, fast WiFi, delicious breakfasts.

I visited during the low season so I got the dorm room I booked all to myself. The staff seems to be a family that also lives in the same building. They are incredibly kind and helpful. They even cooked me dinner both nights I stayed there. Truly awesome hosts.

Sadie was a fabulous host, along with her family and friends we enjoyed our time in the house. She is a great cook, letting us try some of the local food. We miss her and Peppa already.

The people were so nice at the hostel. I felt like i was in my family.they also offered my dinner and a nicer room than i asked.

“A little gem in Monteverde”

As costaricans ourselves, we can completely recommend this hostel. We felt like staying at our aunt's house. It's safe and comfortable, and you will have an authentic costarican experience!

The hostel was run by a family. They were extremely nice and welcoming. They made the place feel like home. They made us pancakes in the morning and organized a night tour for us. There was a small kitchen with a fridge, a microwave, and a stove.
