Everything was amazing, the room, people, beautiful garden. We really enjoyed our stay. I would say that one night was not enough in this beautiful place. In the garden you can see aguti, hummingbirds and other cool birds :)

“Rejuvenating escape into nature”

Hospedaje Mariposa is located very close to Bosque Nuboso Parque (5 min by feet) and 5 min drive of Curi Cancha Reserve in a quiete part of Monteverde town. We can see wildlife (toucan and other birds) straight from the residence. We strongly recommend this B&B for its proximity of the parcs and for its restfull immersion in nature. Many thanks to Esteban and his familly for his warm welcome and advises. Breakfast is possible in the closest residence (5 min walk).

The cabin we stayed was a semi detached cabin. It was clean and had a balcony area with a seat but no table and chairs. It overlooked the garden. There is a little bit of road noise but that didn't effect us. The location is great to get to Monteverde Park. The hosts were friendly and we had a lovely stay here.

Friendly owner. Great position near Monteverde NP., but we saw more birds and animals in the garden at Mariposa! Large outdoor seating area was great.

Very cozy place with home vibe. The room was fully equipped and super comfortable, and the owner was incredibly kind. The view from the property was amazing—we even spotted an armadillo right on our porch! Great location within walking distance to the cloud forest and just a 15-minute walk from Monteverde village and other nearby reserves. Perfect for exploring the area on foot.

Location, space, stuff- a nice family runs this place and we like that very much.

The room is in the middle of a forest in a very relaxing location a few metres away from the entrance of the national park. It is a very relaxing place and unfortunately I didn't stay more than a day.

Large, full wooden interior. Beds are convenient. 300 m from Monteverde National Park entry. The garden is nice: cloud forestish with lots of flowers, butterfly. A coati was sleeping on the pourch. Owner is helpfull.

Esteban is a great host. The cabins are very spacious and super clean and the shower is great. The location is not in the busy part of town but more secluded and right next to the Monteverde cloud Forest. This has pros and cons (more traffic, less restaurants). But we had a great stay here and would choose Mariposa again!

The property is 300 meters from Monteverde cloud forest parking, where you take the shuttle to the entrance. The room is clean and the owner is really nice.

The host was so friendly and helpful! Really nice guy. The rooms were perfect, quite big and even a whole kitchen for us to use. I even saw a armadillo on the location! Perfect. I think the price quality was very good for this place. It’s a perfect place to stay. Also very close to the hummingbird cafe where we got lovely photos from the birds!

Beautiful and very quiet accommodation. We slept well in the beds, and everything was very clean! No breakfast available, but there are plenty of options in the nearby town.

“Fantastic cloud forest haven”

Brilliantly quiet location just down the road from the reserve. Very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, friendly staff, very clean.

The place is really cute. It has a small garden with a lot of butterflies and hummingbirds. The host Esteban helped us a lot with the activities around. He also recommended a really amazing guide for the Cloud forest tour Sergio. We had a really good time even though it wasn't in the centre of Monteverde. We visited things around and we could walk to the reserve as it was really close. Esteban was really nice, he took care of us very well. I would highly recommend this place.

Loved my stay at Mariposa, lovely clean and quiet cabins in great surroundings. Breakfast is available over the road and there are a few other options within walking distance too. Esteban is a wonderful host! He gave me lots of information on getting around and places to see. Booked taxis and also helped me out with my laundry. Great location for monteverde cloud forest, curi cancha and enternal childrens rainforest. All within walking distance. Santa elena is a short taxi or bus ride away.
