“Authentic Costa Rican relax”

Fantastic place to enjoy the quiet nature of Costa Rica, tugged away from the main roads. Really nice and authentic rooms and small bungalows, decorated with taste. Susanne was so kind to prepare of the rooms for our kid who had birthday with balloons and signs. Wonderful - but simple - breakfast served in the room, with a.o. Fresh fruit and smoothie. The place is situated 15 minutes before Santa Elena and 25-30 minutes from the Monte Verde reserve and zip lines.

Lovely pool and beautiful scenery, Room was comfortable and colourful. Staff were friendly and breakfast and lunch were plentiful.

We loved the property which had all the facilities you need and gave a real sense of privacy. Wonderful views out over the surrounding countryside and well located to access activities around Monteverde. The beautiful spring fed pool is a real bonus. Our host, Javier, could not have been more helpful.

The traditional breakfast was tasty and there was enough for us to reheat the next morning.

Where heaven touches earth.... it truly is! the views here are insane we were shown to our room and it actually took our breath away, we were lost for words. The lady who runs the place couldnt have done more for us, it was my wives birthday while we were there and she got her a cake and came on her birthday morning with a speaker playing music, it made her feel so special. The cabins are incredible, you feel like your so in touch with nature. The pool is beautiful we were lucky enough to have an afternoon here.

Swimmingpool with the most wonderful view and peace to chill. Suzanne the manager went out of her way to be helpful when we had a flat tire , making sure this did not derail the enjoyment of our stay. Food was very wholesome and nice to eat on veranda surrounded by nature

Incredible spot in the cloud forest and truly magic sunrise and sunsets. They are developing the pool area and the breakfasts are insane!!!

“Exceptional experience.”

El Sol exceeded our expections for accomodations and cuisine. We love the outdoors and El Sol allows you feel like you are comfortably staying in the outdoors. Not only is it located on a hilltop with a breathtaking view, the accomodation designs are fantastic, service is very accomodating, and El Sol, as an ecolodge, is very interesting to visit. You may pay a bit more to stay here but that is because you receive a stay that is more memorable than most places.

We loved this little gem near Santa Elena. The location is incredible and the welcoming outstanding. The food offered was also one of the best we had, really! The view and the ground are very special offering what Monteverde is about a close contact with nature.

We loved the location, we loved our cabin in the woods with the most breathtaking views day and sunset and the stars at night were amazing. Pool area is also stunningly beautiful. Susanne is very helpful with recommendations for our stay also arranging for lunch and dinner options which are brought at the times of your choice to your verandah, just idyllic a little peace of heaven in this accommodation which I would recommend to everyone. Pool lounging area is small but you can take mats and towels and sit on grass or by lake, where they just have installed a hanging swing chair wonderful views. Cannot recommend this place enough it’s so special.

“Wonderful place for a holiday while on vacation”

We had a wonderful stay here. The room is superb, the pictures don't do it justice. Very cozy, amazing sunset view, clean. The kitchen is well equipped, there is a stocked fridge with items for sale. We also had dinner and breakfast here, both were superb. In the afternoon we arrived, we had the pool all to ourselves. Its quite private with stunning views. Our goal was to relax here, as the rest of our trip was quite adventure packed with lots of hiking, and this place was perfect for that. Our 2 year old also really enjoyed staying here. They even provided a cot for here and there was a lot to discover, both in the pool area and in the room.

“Stylish hilltop retreat”

A lovely, calm oasis with incredible views across the hills. Very stylish, clean and comfortable. The team are very friendly and helpful. Say yes to any meals: they are really great with fresh vegetables from their own garden. You could spend all day watching the birds in the garden- toucans, parrots etc . Incredible.

Room had a good view and rooms were secluded from each other, gave feeling of a private house with kitchen.

We were in the Mountain View room and we loved it. It’s set away from the rest of the rooms, in a beautiful, peaceful spot. All you can hear are the birds and the sounds of the forest. The cabin was rustic and charming.
