Very well equipped, modern and spotlessly clean. Very spacious and well equipped. Feels Like you are in the jungle with the trees on all sides. Great instructions from the owner how to get there.

“Exceptional and fabulous for bird watching”

This was our second time staying at Cougar as we absolutely loved it the first time. The property is spacious, modern and very clean. The master bedroom has a balcony which we sat on every day and night and watched the birds and the stars. We saw Toucan's, hummingbirds, wrens and many more. The location is very peaceful. There is a farm close by selling fresh produce along with a night tour and dinner. Our host Maria is wonderful. Very attentive and just a beautiful human.

The property was incredible. The home felt brand new, it was extremely clean. It is up the hill from Monteverde and it feels like you’re in the jungle. The host was incredibly accommodating and sweet. She even left us a bottle of champagne. We look forward to staying here again, it was our favourite place we stayed in Costa Rica. There were even monkeys outside the bedroom deck in the trees.

Fantastic apartment/house, comprising both floors of the pictured property, with two double bedrooms and en suite bathrooms, each with its own private balcony affording gorgeous views of the country side. View of the jungle from the main shower was amazing. There are also several large leather sofa's at least one of which looked to be a sofa-bed, so this place would be great for families or two couples with one or two kids. The kitchen is enormous with an induction hob and plenty of equipment to cook properly and large American fridge/freezer. Dining table. Large flat screen TV which we did not use. The property is located round the bend from 100% Adventures, one of the companies offering ziplining, hanging bridges walks and so on. It is a few minutes' drive to Santa Elena for groceries, restaurants, pharmacy etc - but not really walkable, certainly not at night due to road conditions. Maria was very communicative throughout. Entry to the property is by key code which Maria will send you just before arrival. You will need a car to stay here and be prepared for unpaved bendy road for the last few kms.

Gorgeous home in the Monteverde area! Well appointed and exceptionally clean. The decks afforded amazing views of the country side. Easy access to town and the clouds forests. Very comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms with AMAZING showers and hot water!

It is so amazing at this price — super beautiful and minimalistic design and architecture, also we liked the location. Everything for your comfort to have rest after a long day of outdoor activities. Highly recommend. The host was very nice and polite and gave us champagne as a welcome drink.

The house was beautiful, very large with two bedrooms and bathrooms. Very clean and spacious. A well equipped kitchen and a little surprise treat at our arrival. The view is awesome, you look down a little valley.

This property is absolutely fantastic in every way. The location is wonderful. Very peaceful and tranquil. The rooms and beds are clean and very comfortable and the host Maria was amazing, so helpful. You wake up to amazing views from the bed and each room has a balcony. We sat many times watching the birds. The smallest hummingbirds feed off the plants. For us we would happily return tomorrow.

This is a beautiful, newly constructed house with high-quality wood finishes throughout. All rooms are spacious and I particularly enjoyed the main bathroom window and its view of the large tree in front of the house. Maria, the host, was extremely helpful from the moment we made the reservation. She provided clear instructions for accessing the house and the process was easy to follow. She also sent the location via Waze, and the picture of the house gate made it simple to find the entrance. We had no issues during our stay. The complimentary wine was a nice touch and greatly appreciated. The house is located about 4km from Santa Elena town, and while most of the road is dirt, it is only a 10-minute drive if taken at a leisurely pace. Overall, a great experience.

The villa appeared to be brand new. High ceilings made for a spacious experience. The hosts worked hard to make our stay great, and they volunteered information about places to see and restaurants to choose. One of the windows leaked water into the kitchen during the heavy rains, and the host fixed this w quickly.
