“OK stay, good breakfast although the room felt slightly packed”

The location was good and I quite liked some of the staff that went above and beyond to help with some questions and organise transfer. I was happy with the breakfast. Also, I liked the common room

Great location and very charming hostel. They picked us up and dropped us off directly in front of the hostel when we were doing activities! The staff spoke many languages!

“Amazing stay”

The hostel family is so nice, friendly, and funny. They help you with EVERYTHING you need or want to do. Beds were super comfortable, kitchen clean and with everything you may need, the outdoor space and the common areas are beautiful and full of plants, the breakfast is included and delicious, you can take coffee, tea, milk and they prefer some fruits and something else different every day, from pancakes to omelettes and toasted bread

“Your home away from home”

What not to like?!?! This place felt like home! The best hostel in Costa Rica so far (and also very high on my list of hostel from over 55 countries). The owners were the nicest people, welcoming, helpful and always with a smile! They have cute little dogs which made the place feel even more like home! The rooms were clean, tidy and not crowded (like some other places have). Beds were comfortable. The toilets were always clean! The breakfast was amazing, fruits, eggs and pancake with free water and coffee all day. The social areas were great to meet other travellers and create our little travel fam!

Good location and staff were super helpful with everything

The staff were lovely and very helpful, the place is small but cozy. There is a small parking lot for people driving, and a nice little common room and shared kitchen. Breakfasts were good and filling (tho not allergy friendly).

it’s such a great hostel! very clean and comfortable, there are plants everywhere, the breakfast was really good (scrambled eggs/omelette with toast/pancakes and fruits), free coffee and hot water available the whole day

“Great budget option”

Great location. We had a private room with ensuite and it was clean and comfy. The breakfast was great, they very kindly catered for my dietary requirement last minute. Common areas good and clean.

It was a small hostel, but had lots of places to sit. They provide an amazing breakfast. The laundry service was pretty cheap and quick. The kitchen was fully equipped and had two sinks which was useful. The lockers were nice and big.

The breakfast was such a warm surprise! I saw that breakfast is included in the price (and not high price at all!!) - I just really didn't expect that good breakfast! ❤️ Las mujeres (the women) working there are one of the purest souls I have ever met on my life journey, one especially. They were super helpful and nice to us like the closest family member. I honestly didn't expect this to happen in some hostel, but this isn't just "some" hostel - it is a home, as its name says "Casa tranquilo".

Probably the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at! The staff is amazing and super friendly. They helped us booked every activity we wanted to do, and cooked us an amazing breakfast each morning. This hostel has such a homely feeling. It’s almost like being at your grandmas summerhouse. You feel at home here straight away. And the dogs are super cute! Thank you for everything!

-The 4 bed dorm I stayed in was spacious enough and had lockers for valuables -Comfortable bed with socket next to it -Separate toilet and warm shower upstairs + toilet downstairs (don’t know if there were more facilities) -WiFi worked ok (in the dorm as well) -Restaurant across the street -Free coffee -Nice chalet style wooden building -Friendly staff

Really friendly hostel. Owners and staff great fun, cosy, maybe the sofa a bit old but It's OK. I enjoyed my stay here. Beds and pillow are so good, so warm...

“Nice guitar”

A well thought hostel experience, a check on all good things to have, awesome guitar in common living room ready to be played, cute owner dogs are all around the place, the whole place is surrounded by plants.

Good value, nice common areas. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great cooking facilities and the free breakfast was nice.
