“Very comfortable stay at lovely family home”

Very welcoming and kind hosts who have created a beautiful garden. We had such a good sleep at Casa Haydee and enjoyed the recommended bakery up the road for breakfast and a short stroll into town for dinner.

“Perfect stay in Monteverde!”

Perfect location walking distance from shops and restaurants. It was spacious and comfortable. We were able to make breakfast each morning and sit outside to eat it watching humming birds. Haydee, the just, was wonderful.

Great apartment with well equipped kitchen, also had a dining table. Spacious room and lovely outdoor covered seating to watch the hummingbirds come and go.

Lovely room with good bathroom, coffee,nice porch and garden plus the location allows to walk to restaurants.

Cutest little cottage with magical porch and garden space. Immaculately kept, with all amenities. Hummingbirds on the porch. Perfect location, steps from restaurants. Quiet. Super friendly and helpful host. Highly recommend. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Our stay was fantastic! The room was incredibly spacious, cozy, and well-maintained, providing a perfect retreat. The hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. Their beautiful garden added to the charm, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious, and the beds were large and very comfortable. Overall, a wonderful experience – highly recommend!

“Just not good for us.”

We have called the owner several times to help to find taxi, but no answer…and we asked the price for breakfast…still no answer. Not good for us.

Friendly host. Very nice breakfasts watching the birds in the garden. Many restaurants bars and shops in easy walking distance, very large bedroom with facilities to have a light meal.

“Delightful room in a good location.”

Lovely clean room tastefully decorated, with comfortable lounge chairs to chill, as well as dining table and 2 comfortable double beds. The room was stylish, bright and had a lovely feel. Just outside you could sit under cover and watch the birds feed at the bird table in the garden. The hosts were lovely and so helpful. With their help we had a good guided tour of Monteverde cloud forest, but in a small group of 4. The hosts were accommodating with varying times for breakfast to fit in with our schedule.

“Great place to stay in Monteverde”

The room was spacious, the beds very comfortable, the location good for restaurants nearby. The garden was great to watch birds. The breakfast was either scrambled eggs and toast or granola which was fine. Haydee did our washing for a reasonable €24 . The family are very friendly and will organise trips for you.

“Home comforts in Monteverde”

we had a large room with two large beds, area to make a drink and fridge to keep things cool. it was right in the centre of Monteverde, near some good restaurants and a mini supermarket. Haydee and Kenneth are very good hosts. wonderful hummingbirds at the door, what not to love.

Large room, very cosy, very friendly people. Breakfast was served at 7AM which was a bit late for us (we went out birdwatching at dawn) so we opted for a granola breakfast on 2 of our 3 days. On the 3rd day we had the proper breakfast which was excellent. We tried 3 different restaurant options close by and they were all very very good.

Beautiful veranda that allowed us to sit outside and watch the humming birds even in pouring rain. The host was really helpful and always ready to solve any problems that have occurred.

Tasty breakfast Good location

It's not really a hotel, but a private property and you feel exactly like that - at home. The room is beautiful and beds extremely comfortable. Perfectly clean and well maintained. The garden is absolutely stunning! The owners make you feel welcome and are some of the kindest people I met in Costa Rica.
