The staff was friendly, breakfast very good, the rooms clean so nothing to complain about. The only thing: if it's windy outside its very loud in the room at night. Apart from that we had a great time.

We loved our stay at Cabinas Vista Al Golfo! The staff were incredible, so kind and helpful - special thanks to Ro who helped us with transport to our various tours in the area and was generally a lovely guy. The room was massive and we had an incredible view of the valley, everything was clean and the beds were comfy. Bathroom was also huge! The view from the common areas / dining area is great too. To note: Monteverde is pretty windy and this hotel is on a hill, so you might hear the wind a little at night.

Great location. Most of personal was very present. They booked all tours for us with better prices than agencies had. Breakfast was sufficient as for the price we paid for the room. Availability of kitchen was very helpful at least in case you want to make some coffee/tea or want to cut some fruits.

Really nice place, nice view, 8 min walk to the Center, a great location to explore from there. Really friendly staff, they where always reachable, helpful and relaxed. The outdoor area was very nice for breakfast, the breakfast itself all freshly made and tasty, changed between pancakes, waffles always with sugar and scrummbled eggs, as well some fresh fruits:) Had a Single Room with Shared bathroom, it was very clean and spacious, would always Book again. Loved the hanging chairs, i almost spend a whole afternoon there, after I reached, a peacfull and cosy chillout place :) They also offer tour bookings and can help with shuttles and info of Everything needed. Thanks for the nice stay 👍

The common area, with the view over the town and the mountain, is the real draw, with an excellent breakfast a nice bonus. I did feel the room a bit damp due to poor aeration, but then you're in an urban area. And there's nothing you can do about the moto revving on empty roads; apparently, noise pollution hasn't become a trend yet.

We stayed in a double room with kitchen and it was fantastic. Clean, comfortable, and spacious, with an incredible view. The included breakfasts were delicious and generous, and the dining room and patio with swinging chairs was a great place to hang out and meet the other travellers staying in the hostel rooms. An easy walk into the town centre. The staff were super friendly and incredibly helpful, and assisted with making all our tour arrangements, and the kitchen staff were also amazing.

“Fine stay”

Good stay and shared bathroom option was fine for us. The space is clean. Only thing that bothered us is the nearby location to the road. Our room was adjacent to it and it was very noisy with the motor cycles and even someone with a chainsaw at 3AM?! Breakfast was good, reception staff was friendly and helped us book tours and arrange everything. Kitchen space was fine to prepare a simple meal. Popcorn machine was nice addition. Woman leading the breakfast staff could’ve been a little more warm, she didn’t seem a morning person…. Overall fine value for money but I wouldn’t book a room next to the road again.

The staff was very helpful with booking shuttles and giving information on things to do in Santa Elena. The breakfast was wonderful and the kitchen for guest use was well stocked. The property is within walking distance to restaurants and downtown Santa Elena.
