Great breakfast (one of the best we had in Costa Rica). Nice rooms. Beautiful garden. There is a path to watch sunset, which was great.

It was a pleasant stay, the location was phenomenal with the views and eat to find and walking to the dining hall along the path was very creative and adventurist for the short few minutes.

Belcruz Family Lodge was the best place we stayed in Costa Rica. The host was very kind, helped us with everything, booking programs, making recommendations, telling us a lot about the animals living there, and suggested programs, like night walk, that was super cool - we saw so many animals! You can walk on small forest trails in the property, we met a raccoon, heard monkeys, and saw lots of birds. The food in the restaurant was super good. The restaurant has a very nice view of the forest. We saw monkeys from the restaurant window, just an arm's reach away from us. The view from our room was also very nice. The view of the mountains is impressive while sitting on the terrace. We saw hummingbirds right in front of our terrace. The host recommended us a sunset lookout point above the property, which was also breathtaking. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean, the breakfast was very delicious, we also got homemade jam. Thank you for this unforgettable experience!

We had a perfect stay! Rooms were clean, owner and his family were super friendly and breakfast was delicious. There is a nice walk above the property and we some some hummingbirds there. We would recommend!

“A pleasant surprise”

Amazing views right at the door step, spacious rooms, very kind and welcoming hosts. Breakfast was great, too. We really enjoyed a little nature walk from the rooms to the restaurant. Tip for the travelers: check carefully the amount of rooms you actually need to book. Some of them literally have 2 separate bedrooms listed as one room. We’ve learned we were not the first ones to overbook.

There’s a lot of things we loved about our stay here. The sunset viewpoint that one of the staff told us to do that was on the property up a garden path that gave us an incredible view of the sunset. We loved the location, a short drive from the local town. The room was very clean and had everything you needed including a spacious balcony area. Staff were very friendly! Had a beautiful breakfast and made us feel at home. The pathway to the restaurant was very nice and we saw a tarantula hidden in the tree which was very cool! Overall a great stay and would highly recommend

The premises are beautiful. We saw monkeys, tucans and other wildlife from the restaurant and our room. Staff is very friendly. The room was very spacious and had a beautiful view.

The family were very welcoming and helpful. The location has beautiful gardens and views - we were able to see so many birds from our balcony. Breakfast was also very good.

Large room and great patio

literally everything. Super nice check in, getting to my room, the view, the surroundings, the breakfast to the check out. At every step I had a feeling that I am being taken cared of. If I look at the price/ quality ration, that was more than I imagined.

Belcruz is amazing! The front desk staff (a very kind gentleman) was incredibly friendly—he showed us the best spots to watch the sunset and even recommended a shortcut for birdwatching. The hotel’s dinner was absolutely phenomenal!!! I wish I could try every single dish—it’s even better than what I’ve had in LA! The room was cozy and inviting!
