The mother and daughter who own this are really helpful and friendly. The room was enormous and had a TV with some English speaking programmes ( I don't normally watch TV when travelling but it was a big plus because I am so exhausted). Lots of little extras like a kettle and various teas, bedside table and light, a table and two chairs. The ceilings are very high and windows allow a lot of fresh air in so very comfortable for sleeping,..no need for air-conditioning. Good tipico breakfast and a good selection of food in the restaurant.

“Nice hotel in Monteverde”
Small hotel with a restaurant, close to Monteverde forest. Everything was clean and tidy, comfortable bed and pillows, teapot in a common area. Stuff was very helpful and friendly! I have had a fish for diner in restaurant downstairs which was very tasty. Overall, great value for money!

“Good location”
Good location although it is at the top of a steep hill so that's something to consider! The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and kind. Breakfast was also tasty.

The hotel stuff helped me a lot during my stay, from booking shuttles and tours to mondane necessities. Their restaurant has variety of food and it was especially comfortable in rainy days.

“I am so glad that I stayed here!”
Staying here was a great experience! Alisson and her husband were excellent hosts, it almost felt like a homestay. The restaurant and was great, and they really bent over backwards to make me comfortable. Everything was in short walking distance, and I'm glad it was located not right in the touristy, hostel-filled area. This area is much more peaceful, and even more convenient, as places I wanted to walk to (bat jungle, coffee farm) were more close by.

The staff/proprietors were exceptional. We arrived late, after a wet muddy hike from La Fortuna. We asked the hotel if they could wash and dry out clothes, and they had it done that night. Amazing. We ate dinner downstairs and it was just fantastic. Could not recommend this hotel/restaurant enough!

“Wonderful owners, value and location.”
The owners were amazing. It felt almost like a homestay. Alisson booked my tours, brought me ice for my injured knee, and her casado was the best I had in Costa Rica. The location was quiet and peaceful, with everything conveniently close by and walkable, including bat, frog and orchiduseums, as well as ecological sanctuary.

The owners Martha and her husband are exceptional and helping with any questions, tours, travel, recommendations The room was spacious and clean with the external but private bathroom just the opposite of the room. The breakfasts were good and the meals in their restaurant as well. I had really nice time in this place with the owners, chatting with them in the evenings and enjoying our stories. Thank you Martha and JuanCo! 😀 hope to come again!

“Lovely family run hotel”
The staff were lovely and very helpful in this family run hotel. Breakfast was good. Beds and the room were very comfortable. Lots of space to store luggage. There is a nice restaurant downstairs. Trips we booked through the hotel were great as was our transport to the next location.

Breakfast was very tasty and filling! The hosts were so nice and made me feel really at home. I was recommend to take the boat to to La Fortuna and I’m so glad I did and listening to their recommendation as the journey was lovely. Would stay again 15-20 min walk into town and I did not have a car but easy to get around in taxi.

Good location, quiet as not in town, supermarket and restaurants close by, but not far from the town. Friendly, helpful staff. Restaurant and breakfast were good
