“Comfortabel and friendly hotel and the beachside with swimming pool.”
Nice hotel with restaurant at the beach and swimming pool . The personel was very helpful. We booked 2 great tours through the hotel: releasing baby turtles by a nature persevation organization and a mangrove boat tour. Both tours were a wonderful experience and the guide Moa of the boat tour gave us lots of time to watch all the birds in the nature reserve.

“Great value for money, centre of Monterrico”
Lovely staff that work really hard and made us feel very welcome during a super busy weekend. Room was basic but sufficient. The restaurant food and breakfast included was super yummy. The shared bathrooms were well maintained and cleaned regularly. Pool area was spacious and didn’t feel cramped despite a busy weekend.

Not super luxurious and food a bit more expensive than in other places around town, but also some choices for vegetarians, perfect location with direct beach access, good food, nice swimming pool with chairs to chill in the shadow if the beach gets to hot, and very friendly and helpful staff

“Great place for a beach break if your not a surfer”
It was clean located right on the beach with a pool. The beds were comfy and the rooms quirky . The place is very clean staff friendly. The beach is not busy theres a perfect horizon no cruise ships , tankers boats or surfers cluttering up the view just half a dozen pelicans that fed in the waves. The food was good the other guests friendly

“Amazing location, right on the beach.”
Perfect place to relax for a few days (especially after hiking Acatenango). Beach bar/restaurant was lovely with really great food and drinks. Staff were so friendly and helpful.

“Nice vibes 👌”
Simple but beautiful rooms with a comfortable bed and a mosquito net. We loved the hammock in front of our room and the free delicious coffee in the morning. Nice pool and beach access.

“Nightmare in Monterrico”
There was nothing to like whatsoever. If I had not made the reservation on Booking I would have insisted that we leave. Old, dirty and completely deplorable conditions. Our room was not clean , bare light bulb in the ceiling. We were given a top sheet; no cotton quilt or any other bedding at all. We were told no one had ever asked for a blanket or comforter. Very creepy place; I barely slept all night. Random people laying or sleeping in hammocks right outside our door. The lock on the door was similar to a school locker padlock. Shabby wooden door.

“Quiet spot to chill by the beach”
Right on the beach, friendly staff and great location. Nice pool and other activities like table tennis and a dart board. Monterico is not a surf spot but an established local town.
