So clean I was scared to touch anything. If you’re thinking about booking it — do it before someone realises it’s underpriced!

The location is unbelievable, stunning views. Central to old and new town. Breakfast provided. Host communication excellent. A truly wonderful property!! Lucky enough to hear the street musician playing just outside as we enjoyed a sunset dinner on the terrace!

“Highlight of our trip”

Our stay at La Casa Del Doganiere was a highlight of our trip to Italy. It is easily the best location in all of Cinque Terre to stay. The three terraces are incredible. We would go back in a heart beat. We also recommend dining at the restaurant - Ristorante L'Ancora della Tortuga. Great food and service.

Beautiful location everyone stops by in the day to have their photo taken. At the weekend we had a piano and flute being played right outside…it was fabulous listening to that and the waves.

“Unique, comfy apartment in an Incredible location”

The location, views and outdoor terraces are unbeatable. Very central next to tunnel and walkway which we loved as street musicians played both nights while we sat in the terrace and took in the view and atmosphere. Yes there is some noise because of this but all this stopped around 10:30/11pm. Despite being so central it felt very private and secure behind lockable gates. Comfy bed with aircon (which was desperately needed during our stay in July). Spiral staircase wasn’t a problem at all (and I’ve had a knee replacement) but not doable if you have mobility issues. Lovely touches with a breakfast basket and fruit plus everything you needed in a kitchen and bathroom. Great communication with owner - she also sent the menu from her next door restaurant so we could order via WhatsApp to be delivered to the apartment terrace .

“Unique property with outstanding views!”

What a find! Absolutely gorgeous apartment with the most stunning views and ideal location. It’s only a few mins walk from the train station, beaches and old town/restaurants etc but so v peaceful/relaxing at night listening to the waves. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated with a v comfortable bed, good shower and the kitchen has all appliances/utensils you would need. There were also some breakfast supplies provided (milk, tea/coffee, pastries, fruit) which was a welcome surprise. Sylvia, the owner, is so very helpful and replied to any queries we had v quickly. She also runs the restaurant next door and it’s outstanding so definitely book in there - best meal we had during our trip! The views!!! All 3 terraces all have outstanding views overlooking the sea and beach, it was great to have breakfast/lunch there and then use the sunbeds on the lower terrace for relaxing. The reviews speak for themselves - it is an absolute gem!

Very cute self contained little house in an unbeatable location right on the water and between the two main sections of Monterosso al Mare. Thoughtfully prepared and presented with all that you might need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Lovely little terrace areas to sit and enjoy a meal or rest and read a book or just rest and listen to the ocean. Highly recommended.

The location is Amazing! Wonderful house with its 3 terraces with a beatuful view but still very close to everything including the parking lot and the train. Very clean and convinient.

We loved everything about this property and it is very special and magical! We enjoyed every moment there. The location is perfect, facing the beach side (the only beach in Cinque Terre), and is perfect for sunset. This is definitely the best property in Monterosso al Mare! The host Silvia was very kind and provided so many extra information and was super helpful. I would recommend this property to all my friends.

The perfect place for some downtime in Monterosso. Facing out over the sea just off the coast path, it’s an amazing romantic retreat to listen to waves, watch the sunset and generally chill whilst being within walking distance of both sides of Monterosso. All nautical themed, there is a bedroom on the top floor and kitchen, diner and bathroom downstairs (beware the steps are narrow and steep) Three terraces outside, had breakfast on one, lunch on another and sunbathed on the third. We stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer and was the absolute highlight of three weeks in Italy. Sylvia the owner also runs L’Ancora de la Tortuga restaurant which is only 2 mins away and was so good we went twice. Would be back in a heartbeat.

The location was unbelievablely scenic as well as convenient, the accommodation was very clean and atmospheric, and the hostess was pleasent and helpful. Quite literally this was the most beautiful flat in which I have ever stayed! The money was worth this once in a lifetime experience. We got reservations at the associated restaurant--delicious meal!
