We had such a lovely stay! The hosts were very friendly and made us feel truly welcome from the start. The dinners were absolutely amazing – every meal felt like a special experience – and the breakfast was great too. The pool area was super relaxing, perfect for unwinding in the peaceful surroundings. This is a place to truly appreciate nature and quietness. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to return!

Beautiful tranquil location in a stunning, very old farm house with wonderful rural views. Stefania and Roberto were amazing hosts and did everything to ensure customers were happy. We also ate there each night, which was a fun experience and very convenient and they enthusiastically explained to us what all the dishes and wines were, it was delicious. Also they were flexible and said we could stay on for a few hours after check out to enjoy being in the beautiful garden, by the swimming pool.

Historic rural villa with a large and very well looked after garden on the edge of a remote tiny hilltop hamlet. Superb ambiance in the midst of nature with a fantastic view of the unique Tuscan landscape. Very friendly and helpful Italian hosts giving a very personal touch. Nicely decorated rooms with many original contemporary paintings and drawings. Great Italian breakfast with fresh fruit, homemade jams and cakes. Option of enjoying traditional home cooked Tuscan cuisine in the evening - not to be missed. Safe car parking and possibility to charge e-bikes. Excellent base for exploring Siena, hiking in the surrounding forests or cycling the famous strade bianche.

“Great little hotel with wonderful owners”

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming Italian hotel. Stefania and Roberto are the warmest hosts, making you feel instantly welcome. The hotel itself has a quaint, nostalgic charm, like stepping back in time, yet the outdoor spaces are beautifully modern with poolside loungers and plenty of quiet corners to enjoy a drink and unwind in the garden. Stefania is endlessly thoughtful and goes out of her way to ensure every guest feels comfortable and cared for. Don’t miss the chance to have dinner here. We ate at a range of restaurants across Tuscany, from traditional trattorias to high end spots, and the meal we had here was our favourite. I had the eggplant parmigiana, which was absolutely delicious, and my husband’s beef in Chianti was melt in the mouth perfection. Also it was the only hotel to offer eggs with bacon for breakfast! This place really is a little gem.

Beautiful house overlooking the countryside, Peaceful, in harmony with nature. There are many walks from the doorsteps in the woods, a car is needed to reach near villages like Monteriggioni or Siena. Lovely guests and grear breakfast served in the garden.

Highly recommended little gem not far away from Siena. Stephania and Roberto were fantastic hosts. We enjoyed our stay there. Great breakfasts and dinners with a good selection of jazz musician in the background.

Stephania and Roberto are amazing hosts, they do everything to make you feel at home. Breakfast was amazing, we had dinner at La Canonica multiple times during our stay and the food was delicious. La Canonica is a beautiful old building hidden in a very peaceful countryside location, perfect for getting away from it all.

“Wonderful…”

This place is so charming and full of so many details, you can feel the love and spirit the hosts put into it every day. We stayed there for some trips to Siena and the surrounding villages and also to find some deep relaxation in the beautiful nature and around the pool.

The property was a typical Tuscan house with many outbuildings, a pool and in a very small hamlet. The breakfasts were lovely and a great start to the day. Dinners were fabulous, Roberto was a magician with food!

The place is amazing, very peaceful and beautiful. Really a hidden wonder. It is just 10 min away of Siena. The breakfast is really tasteful. The hosts are very kind and welcoming!

“We had a lovely stay at La Canónica Di San Michele and would happily repeat the experience.”

The property is situated in beautiful countryside outside Sienna. It is very quiet and peaceful and made for a very relaxing stay after the hectic pace of Rome and the Ryder Cup. Our hosts were very hospitable and helpful and a big bonus is that they offer dinner as an extra service, which we took advantage of, and the food was excellent local Tuscan dishes, expertly prepared by the host. Just let them know early in the afternoon if you would like dinner. There is also a good cocktail and wine selection on offer! Outside, there are lovely gardens and plenty of seating areas, as well as a beautiful pool with many recliners. On the property boundary are woods and plenty of walking/cycling opportunities in the surrounding areas of Tuscany.

“The perfect Tuscan Villa getaway.”

We had a heavenly 3 day stay at La Canonica. Stefania and Roberto were perfect hosts who welcomed us warmly. Lovely breakfasts included with fruit, juice, breads, yoghurt, eggs and great coffee. Evening meal also offered from a lovely menu which Roberto prepares onsite. The pool was great as the weather was beautiful and warm. Sun lounges, outdoor settings and shade available. Perfect after a hot day of sightseeing in the area. Room was comfortable and spacious and decorated with some lovely touches. Also some comfortable indoor common areas to sit. Siena only a few kms away.The views were stunning with gorgeous sunsets. The perfect Tuscan Villa getaway.

“A lovely host and a wonderful place and view over the Siena valley”

Stefania and her husband Roberto were perfect hosts. Roberto was a fantastic cook who made lovely and tasteful meals and Stefania was a very kind and enthousiastic host. The location was beautifully ans calm in the mountains with a wonderful view in the Siena Valley. We will certainly comeback once.

We stayed at this nice place on our way to Sicily. We needed a break so we relaxed here for two days - with a morning trip to Siena. The owners are so nice, the food was good and the pool is a nice place to hang out. While we where eating we could see wild boars roaming the grounds, which was a nice touch.
