Overview
Just outside the Castle of Monteriggioni, Albergo Casalta is on Via Francigena in the historic village of Strove. This friendly family-run hotel is set in an ancient Lombard fortress with stone walls. The hotel's interiors have many original features such as wood-beamed ceilings. Guests can enjoy a drink by the fireplace in the lounge, or out in the courtyard in summer. Hotel Casalta is set in the countryside of the Val d’Elsa. Nearby you will find an outdoor pool, tennis courts, hiking or horse-riding facilities and golf clubs.

Everything was so unexpectedly outstanding. We didn't plan the stay in advance and this spontaneuos accommodation was such a nice suprise. Breakfast was delicious. I can sincerely recommend this place for everyone.

Absolutely everything! Wonderfull staff, beautiful bedroom, bathroom and window view. Exceptional dinner at the restaurant. Fabulous breakfast including fresh fruit & yoghurt, scrambled eggs and whole meal bread, quality pastries and great coffee.

“Very memorable - one of the nicest places we have stayed on this trip.”
The location was perfect for walking the Via Francigena and the facilities and service were wonderful. We got to check in early to this 1000 year old property, bathroom facilities good. The restaurant is excellent and the hosts are really friendly and accommodating.

Great quiet location very close to Monteriggioni. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious! Amazing homemade cake for breakfast, but also very varied breakfast options. People were very warm and friendly and super helpful, giving us tips for the rest of the trip. Clean, comfortable and unique rooms

Perfect spot in the middle of Tuscany, every detail was on purpose, excellently conserved, it's a gem! People there, wow! Kind attention, warm stay, smiles and good advices. The food there is really exquisite, every dish made with soul. I advice the desert with rice and caramelized sugar and pistachio ice cream 🤩. I can't wait to come back!

This is a charming and delightful hotel in the small but picturesque village of Stove. The staff were very attentive and the food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious. Our room was beautifully presented and spacious with a large comfortable bed and a sofa on the mezzanine floor. We stayed one night whilst walking the VF and wished it could have been longer.
