My wife and I had a lovely week at the property. The staff (family) could not have done more to make us feel welcome. The food, cooked by Roberto, was exceptional (rustic / homely Italian). The property is centrally located for visiting the sites of Southern Tuscany. The view from our apartment was what drew us to the property. The wonderful rolling Tuscan hills and hilltop villages. We were so lucky to have a number of fantastic sunsets.

If you want a weekend away, it's fine as it's a lovely location. But it's far away from everything and the road in and out is not easy it's very narrow and winding.

“A truly special place that stays with you long after leave”

We had an absolutely memorable experience at this rural accommodation. The location is simply fantastic, surrounded by stunning landscapes and breathtaking views that make you slow down and truly enjoy every moment. From the very first instant, we felt a genuine sense of hospitality, as if we were staying in a family home. The atmosphere is warm, thoughtfully maintained, and offers a level of comfort and tranquility that is hard to find. The food was another highlight of our stay — everything was delicious, prepared with care, and full of authentic flavors that made every meal special. Without a doubt, this is a place we would love to return to and highly recommend to anyone looking for rest, nature, and truly heartfelt hospitality.

“Relaxed Tuscan bliss - even with kids!”

Amazing stay here - it was exactly the relaxing stay we needed which is pretty impressive since we have three kids 5 and under. Fun, relaxed, and the food was great. We are completely converted to the agritourismo concept and would love to visit again.

Location was great if you want winery and off the beaten track. It was too far to do a day trip late night from Florence.

“Nice location, but facilities not great”

It is a family run bed and breakfast located on top of a hill with beautiful view. You need to drive a few kilometers in the middle of forrest with sharp turns to reach to the place which was not an issue for us, but might not be convenient to drive at night for some people.

We spent a wonderful week at the farm! The hosts were very welcoming and did everything to make us feel comfortable and looked after. The family restaurant offered lovely meals, which varied slightly from day to day. The swimming pool was very large, and most of the time during the day it was completely vacant. But even when it had quite a few guests enjoying the swim, there was plenty of space and tranquility. The farm is an hour drive from Firenze, and about 30 minutes from Sienna. Both are worth visiting and exploring over the few days. We had a very relaxing time and would definitely come back. Thank you so much!

“It's like staying in an old Italian village on top of a hill”

The borgo consists of several small houses at the top of a hill, which makes for a magnificent view and a village feel. The pool is a bit cold, but it's nice and large and decently maintained. Dinners are served outside the main building, so you get a nice sunset with it. The food is generally quite good as well. The staff is friendly and helpful and they really add to the experience.

Amazing place to stay as a base to explore this part of tuscany. We are planning to come back next year Old hilltop farming hamlet turned into a family-run farmstay. We enjoyed particularly the panoramic views and sunsets plus the great breakfast and delicious dinners (Roberto is an amazing cook). Very child friendly with swimming pool and playground.

We loved staying at Roberto's family run accomodation. Our favourite thing was the delicious food cooked by Roberto and the pool! Breakfast had a large range of food options and we were always well fed before we left to explore Tuscany :)

Location Friendly hosts Pool

The location is marvellous, perfect for a few quiet days to enjoy the pool, the view and some delicious dinners! We mostly planned daytrips to several towns and other attractions in the region and found a great "homebase" at Poggiarello to relax afterwards. We will definetly be back :)

Such a beautiful stay in the countryside of Monteriggioni. The hosts were so welcoming and kind. We enjoyed breakfasts and dinners here which were different and prepared daily. The pool was also the perfect addition where you could spend the whole day relaxing. The accomodation was really big, spacious and very clean.

Very nice and quite place, in the coutryside. The view is absolutely breathtaking. The pool is a great plus. The owner are very friendly and the food is great.

Private area with absolutely stunning views, even though there are about 10 different apartments you feel like you’re totally alone there, it was special!

The rooms are cozy and full of rustic charm, with a timeless atmosphere that invites you to slow down and savor the peace around you. The on-site restaurant is an absolute treasure. Antico Borgo Poggiarello isn’t just a place to stay, it’s an experience of warmth, beauty, and true hospitality. We left with full hearts, grateful spirits, and a longing to return.
