“Great for a layover!”
Convenient for a layover in Montería. It’s got a bed, a shower and a small restaurant. Friendly staff, next to a small supermarket if you need to recharge on water or snacks (or buy flip flops and a hat!).

We booked just an hour before checking in, and when we arrived there was no electricity in the neighborhood therefore no lights or air conditioned in the hotel (itwas a very hot and humid evening). The front desk gentleman was lovely, saying he wouldn't charge us in case we opted to cancel, since they had no prediction of when electricity would come back up. He even helped us with a few suggestions of hotels that could have a back up generator.

“Beautiful hotel!”
The hotel is a gem in downtown. Decorated very well, the beds were very comfortable, and the lighting was warm and inviting in the bedroom. The included breakfast was very good. They also offer a complete lunch for 16,000 pesos which I highly recommend. The ladies in the kitchen were very friendly and accommodating. Everything is very clean which we really enjoyed. If you are new to a "latin america" downtown it can seem a bit rundown and overwhelming but it is safe to walk day and night. The people are friendly, and you can easily walk a couple blocks to get to the beautiful river area that has an incredible linear park filled with locals, and animals. It is beautiful to walk all the way down to the museum area, highly recommended, even at night. The cathedral is only about a 15 minute walk as well in the same direction. The park has a great bike lane, and incredible trees. It looks like it is undergoing a huge renovation and when it is finished it's going to be even better. We also stayed in the north of the city to see the difference and honestly "el retiro" is boring, just fancy restaurants but no culture. The north park area is also being renovated but you don't see many people and isn't as nice as the park area in downtown.
