Dating back to the early Middle Ages, Villa Cicolina is now a charming hotel. Boasting fantastic views of the Tuscan countryside, it guarantees a personalised service and an unforgettable stay. Set close to Montepulciano, this was once the country retreat of a noble family. It features antique furniture, original paintings and frescoed ceilings. Explore the large, private gardens which lead down to a small church. The garden features a swimming pool with hydromassage, which is surrounded by olive groves. Villa Cicolina has lots of large open spaces where you can relax with a book. Make sure to visit the wine cellar, home to a large collection of wines and olive oil. Enjoy a delicious 4-course menu at the restaurant, specialising in traditional, Tuscan cuisine. Guest rooms are located on the ground, first and second floors. There are also separate rooms which are set in cottages and have their own garden. In the lobby there is free Wi-Fi and a free internet point.

We loved absolutely everything about Villa Cicolina, right from driving up their driveway. The gardens are luscious filled with beautiful flowers and manicured with love. The staff welcomed us with drinks and our room was filled with roses from the gardens, complimentary water was given each day and sweets were also offered. The dining room was 10 out of 10 for the most wonderful breakfasts each day with such care and variety. The ladies are so attentive and kind, we also ate dinner in the restaurant and Mery the Head Chef created delicious cuisines. It’s the little things that have been thought of here that makes your stay perfect, umbrellas, heated towel racks, robes, slippers, outstanding pool area the room is spacious ample storage, great views , ambiance and short drive to the town.

The villa was peaceful and beautiful grounds and the staff were always so friendly and happy to help in any way possible. We also had a lovely meal at the restaurant as well.

Beautifully maintained gardens, fantastic, big, well furnished, spacious rooms, and excellent staff (Alijah and Roberto), Delicious breakfast and a very memorable dinner on our last night. Staff even packed breakfast boxes for us as we had a 5.30am departure to make a train back in Florence

What an amazing property. Staff were absolutely fabulous. All the amenities you need for your stay. We did the private dinner and it was the best meal of our trip so far! There is parking on site and the Villa was easy to find. It is around 4mins drive into town where you can park outside of the ZTL area to walk around. A beautifully kept property and we would definitely stay here again!

The pool was incredible and honestly one of the most peaceful places I have ever been. Great location near the town of Montepulciano and many vineyards within walking distance. The restaurant was good but the Olive oil was perfection - we bought two bottles home!!

“A beautiful stay near Montepulciano”
We loved this beautiful hotel. The location is fab, just a short drive to Montepulciano, and the hotel has a beautiful pool and grounds to stay and relax in too. The restaurant food was fantastic and even did a gluten-free pasta option which was sensational. Our room was lovely and large and quiet too. Would highly recommend!

The most amazing week in Tuscany. Beautiful location with large private established grounds surrounded by olive trees and other beautiful trees just outside Montepulciano. Staff were all amazing and so helpful. We stayed in the cottage which was so quiet and private. The restaurant was first class for breakfast and dinner. The grounds were beautiful based around an old Villa and swimming pool. The view from the pool over Tuscany was unreal. We were made to feel at home the moment we arrived. We didn't want to leave. Montepulciano is one of the most beautiful villages in Tuscany and Villa Cicolina is the place that always dream of staying at when you think of Tuscany. A very good central point to visit other villages as well.

A very nice villa just a short drive from Montepulciano. Lovely large room with a comfortable bed. Good internet access. Very nice infinity pool with amazing views. We had dinner at the hotel on our first night and could definitely recommend it. Ample parking. Would definitely recommend as a great location to discover the heart of Tuscany.
