Great character, great breakfast, in the geart of the old town

We really liked the building and the room: large, old fashioned, well decorated, with comfortable pieces of furniture. Breakfast was excellent!

It was a really special place, we felt like a king and queen. Location was right on the piazza and not too difficult to get parking close by outside the ZTL. The breakfast which was served in our massive private lounge, was exceptional - top quality produce, the best coffee, patisserie from the local baker, couldn't have been better.

Our stay at Palazzo Nobile di San Donato was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the unique atmosphere of the property, which perfectly combines historic charm with comfort. The building itself is stunning, full of character and beautifully preserved, making the entire experience feel special and authentic. Every detail reflects care and attention, creating a warm and refined environment. The host was extremely welcoming and helpful, making sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. We felt genuinely taken care of. If you’re looking for something more than just accommodation, this is the place. It’s an experience in itself, and we would gladly return anytime. Highly recommended.

Amazing concierge service. Valentina went over and beyond to provide us with a full itinerary (including all bookings) of the best places to see, eat and drink in the area. Thanks to her thoughtful itinerary we maximised our 3 days to the full. Breakfast was a lovely addition with fresh fare as well as fresh bakery from the hotel's bakery. This is a very personal hotel and we were made to feel very special. It is part of a group which also owns three excellent restaurants and other accommodation. The hotel is very connected with the top wine producers in the region so can provide VIP bookings. Breakfast was delicious. The old style Palazzo room was fitted with modern comfort ... comfortable beds, excellent linen, modern shower, plenty of drinking water courtesy of the hotel (essential in the heat of summer), quiet room, spacious ensuite, good WiFi etc. Looking forward to our next trip there.

The our accomodacion was perfect! Especcialy Signiora Valentina was a perfect and proffessionial guide, concierge , fantastic persone wery helpfull. Fantastic stay at the Palazzo. The room was straight out of a movie, it really felt special. Right in the center of Montepulciano. Valentina at reception was very helpful guiding us through all the activities and restaurants possibilities and made our stay extra special.

Wonderful historic atmosphere in the suite. The location of the palazzo right near the grand piazza was ideal to enjoy Montepulciano in the evening. Incredible views from our room over the countryside of Tuscany.

The historic architecture was maintained and serviced with impeccable and up to state standards. When we had difficulty locating public parking, the staff member helped with no hesitation and rode with us to find the parking lot. He also helped with fantastic recommendations for dinner. Breakfast at the dining room was also beyond lovely. The sweet and fresh pastry, fresh fruit and coffee etc will be part of our beautiful memory of San Donato.
