Overview
On a hilltop in the heart of Tuscany, Lupaia, a converted stone farmhouse overlooking Montepulciano, will offer you a warm welcome. The hotel is made up of 12 charming and unique guest rooms, each of which have beautiful hand painted walls, original wooden beams, antique furnishings and paintings and restored fireplaces. All enjoy independent access and have private terraces or gardens as well as extraordinary views of the surrounding Tuscan landscape with its hills and medieval villages. These breathtaking views can also be appreciated from the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool which is set into the hillside. Original Tuscan recipes and exquisite wines from the surrounding Vino Nobile di Montepulciano vineyards will be served in the restaurant or on the patio during the summer months. The restaurant also uses olive oil produced by its own olive groves. The hotel can arrange for you to attend cooking classes or cheese tasting events and pride themselves on their hospitality and personal service. Close to important tourist destinations such as Florence, Siena and Arezzo yet immersed in the most tranquil of surroundings, Lupaia is the perfect place from which to discover the beauty of Tuscany.

We had the absolute pleasure of eloping at Lupaia in September 2024. We had a wonderful stay and could not have asked for better staff, food and facilities. The room was absolutely stunning, clean and comfortable. Food was tasty and very accommodating for my gluten intolerance. The availability at any time for food or anything you want or need was incredible. The grounds are very well maintained and not to mention that stunning Tuscan view. We will definitely be back for future holidays and anniversaries to Lupaia.

Beautiful property with very warm thoughtful touches. You receive little gifts each day in your room that are unique to the hotel and it is little things like this which make a cosy and lovely stay. Staff is amazing, especially Gabriella at reception who’s exceptionally helpful and considerate. Food is great and while I’m not usually one to stay in hotels for meals, we actually had dinner at Lupaia almost every night during our stay as they have a different menu by the day (pancakes at breakfast are also a must try!), and each and every one was very very good. I also took with me my wedding dinner gown (my wedding was a few days before my stay here) which had to be cleaned, and the staff was kind enough to offer to do some delicate washing for me (I forgot the girl’s name but she was an absolute star and delight!) and my gown came back in perfect condition as she was so careful with it. All in all, it was an amazing hotel with beautiful structure and surroundings, super warm staff and personal touches. Would not hesitate to book again when I revisit Tuscany!

“Magical stay at Lupaia”
Lupaia is a magical place in the heart of Tuscany. The rooms are cozy, the food is extremely delicious, the staff - very friendly and polite. We loved our stay at Lupaia, it was like a dream. We definitely will come back to this place and highly recommend it to everyone who wish to enjoy the wonderful spirit of Tuscany.

“Magical fairytale stay”
Everything! This place is outstanding. There aren't words to describe how beautiful it is. All the tiny little details used to curate not only a look but a whole feeling and experience. You can tell the owners have a real love for what they do. The staff and service is impeccable, you are made to feel like VIP's the entire time you are there, in particular - her name is pronounced Yohanna but I can't spell it sorry, she was fantastic! So smiley and friendly and helpful. This place is literally a fairytale, our stay was magical.
