As a starter, Bev was lovely. Really can't complain about her hosting skills to be honest, and I can tell she's working with what she's got, hotel-wise. Facilities - we had a private ensuite, but it was separated from the room with a flimsy curtain, so felt unfinished and unloved. We weren't provided with any towels either - unsure if I was meant to ask for this, or if it simply wasn't available by design. The space was clean, but I guess with it feeling a little unfinished and rough around the edges, it can feel messy - especially if you're more OCD about cleanliness. Pillows and bed were super comfy. No complaints. Plush and nice. My room cost $100 USD overall, because they charge a $10 dollar cleaning fee which I was unaware of prior to booking / was not disclosed. I think this is a very airbnb-esque arrangement, and a way of presenting the price to be cheaper than it actually is on booking.com, so keep this in mind. It rained overnight, and as a result there was rainwater on the floor in the morning - 2-3 towels worth around doors and windows and some in shower area too. There was no wifi either, and taxis do not frequent the road on which the hotel is located, so I had to walk 20-30 mins to get to the main road to get a taxi. This is more or less a motel masking as something more, sorry to say, so it should perhaps be priced accordingly.

Not a easy place to find. Was booked for one night as we did a airport drop off. Got to the property before 7pm and no-one was around. Tried to call hosts number but no answer as we wanted to check in before going to the airport. Sent texts to Say we were going to the airport as we couldn't hang around any longer. Returned after the airport drop and called again. We were abruptly told that we could no longer check in as it was now well after 7pm. And we're told we weren't there at 7pm, which we were. This was booked just for somewhere to lay our head for a few hours as we had driven from Manchester and didn't want to drive back late that night. Unfortunately we were forced to do that.

“Amazing secret retreat, wonderful charming hosts, stay here to have a true local Jamaican experience”

We only stayed a night for transfer, but this night was one of the best experiences in our entire trip. This place is a hidden gem, a quiet retreat with exclusive access to an almost private beach, panoramic views and natural peace. Tips: 1. The place is hard to find on your own, read Ron and Bev's messages before you try on your own (like we did). 2. Ron and Bev are amazingly helpful and kind, they will double the joy of your stay. Don't hesitate to ask. 3. Yes, airport is close, but the occasional passing plane is no disturbance. Night was full of nature sounds. 4. We met quite a few locals during our short stay, and all of them were genuinely friendly and helping us to get around. 5. Try the closeby SNAPPAZ restaurant!

My spouse and I chose Jamrock Secret Retreat for our honeymoon, and it exceeded all expectations. The clear blue waters and secluded setting create a perfect romantic atmosphere that's ideal for couples. The property itself is immaculately maintained and designed with a beautiful tropical aesthetic that captures Jamaica's natural beauty. Our room was spotlessly clean and recently renovated, featuring charming tropical decor that enhanced the island experience. The attention to detail was impressive, and the room had everything we needed. There are drinks available in the mini-fridge (for an additional charge), which was a convenient touch. Staff & Service: The staff truly made our stay special. Ms. Bev, who manages the property, is an absolute treasure - warm, helpful, and genuinely caring. We formed a wonderful connection with her during our stay. She also offers additional items you might need during your visit, which proved very convenient. Steve deserves special mention as well. He was our guide throughout Jamaica - arranging transportation from the airport, taking us shopping, and even to Ocho Rios. His knowledge about Jamaican culture and history turned our transfers into fascinating tours. Both Ms. Bev and Steve represent the incredible hospitality that makes Jamaica special. We loved it so much we extended our stay! The connections we formed with staff and locals were unexpected highlights, and we're already planning our return. Tips for Future Guests: - Bring cash for check-in - Budget for transportation (Steve is highly recommended!) - Consider extending your stay!

The location of the house is absolutely stunning, with an ocean view. However, it is right behind the airport so there is not much to do other than that... We only stayed for one night so we didn't really get to enjoy the place, but would have been wonderful to spend a day there. It was truly one of the most beautiful views I have seen.

Jamrock is less than 9 mins drive from airport but sounds of planes rarely disturb the tranquility of JamRock. So peaceful and quiet with a beautiful sea view and only sounds heard are the waves outside bedroom window. Wake up in the night and even the insects have gone to sleep. The facilities were good. I had the lounge, sun terrace and kitchenette to myself. Clean room , fast internet and very comfy bed. My host Bev was so friendly and made me feel at home. She was informative on local places to eat. Snappaz , lovely fish restaurant which is about 8 minutes walk from Jamrock. Food is lovely and staff very friendly. If you want to stop over after landing and need to freshen up before moving on to your next destination , Jamrock is a place that I would recommend and one that I will be coming back to.

Next to the sea and able to have a swim before my flight. I could see the sea from the room and hear the waves which was very appealing. There is a lovely patio area with tables, chairs and loungers with steps leading to the sea. Ms Bev was very helpful and accommodating.

I had a ground floor room overlooking the Caribbean Sea. I was able to walk out of my room directly to the patio. Very convenient. The view was out of this world. Absolutely stunning!
