“Animal-friendly and comfy find en route”

We stopped spontaneously here on our trip from the International Animal Rights Conference in Luxemburg to La Rochelle as the kitties didn't agree with doing the whole drive in one day. So I looked what pet-friendly hotels were close by and reserved 20 minutes before our arrival. It was a good choice as we arrived to a very spacious room in a very central location with a very comfy bed - the cats liked it too :) I personally loved the little reading corner in the room with the most comfy of armchairs - the cats can attest to that too :) I also liked seeing the square through the big windows. As we came back from dinner (the Italian restaurant Roma close by has vegan pizza dough and there are a few other vegan options but on a Monday most of them were closed), we noticed quite a few stray cats on/around the square in front of the hotel and asked the lady on staff about them. She told us that there are many strays that are being taken care of by the people and businesses close by and that one staff member's mom adopted one that had gone missing and returned in bad shape. That warmed my heart! Thank you for caring for the animals and thank you for providing an animal-friendly space for people like us who travel with their fur babies!

Very central to shops and attractions. Front desk staff are very friendly and welling to assist. The rooms are old world in style and classically presented. There is a great secure place to lock up bicycles and is easily accessible. Breakfast for 10€ is good as European breakfasts go. There is a mini supermarket right next door for any essentials. Would stay again.

The hôtel is in the center of the city, close to the main attractions, terrasses... and you may leave your car in the parking. That is why this is very comfortable.

The situation of the hotel was perfect as it is right in the heart of Montages.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and had breakfast both days which were good. We went out for dinner to a recommended restaurant on the last evening. The hotel has an underground car park which is handy as parking can be busy although there is a large square outside the front of the hotel and a market square / street behind the hotel. Our room was nice and looked over the square at the front which seemed to be busy until quite late at night. There are various eateries and bars about Montargis which is a nice smallish French town with the canal running through it. On the Saturday morning there was a thriving market running behind the Hotel and an interesting walk was had.
