We loved our stay here, the room was comfy and clean. The kitchen was also very clean, and well stocked with utensils etc. We also really enjoyed having the terrace to relax on. The location was great- 1 minute from the beach, 1 minute from two supermarkets, and just far enough from town that you couldn’t hear the music at night. Would highly recommend staying here

“It's passable but not a pleasant stay”

The front is an open gate where you can hear noise from the ally. My room was the first one so sometimes it was a little noisey but nothig crazy.

“Clean and spacious stay near the beach”

Very clean and spacious. We had a private room with private bathroom. Host was very kind and helpful! 1 min walk to the beach and 5 min walk to central Montanita. Slept well in our beds and fans helped us stay cool. Great place for a quieter stay!

The host was extremely nice and the communication with her was very efficient!! The rooms were perfect for us. Without a doubt the best place to stay in Montañita because of the location: very quiet yet located within a few minutes walking to the center! would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

super close to the beach, we were the only people staying at the time and it was so quiet. there are some cats floating around which are really friendly.

I am very pleased I chose this place to stay. The host is absolutely wonderful, very helpful lady. She is very responsive and helpful and quickly delivered a second set of keys when i messaged her about my partner and I going in and out at different times, which has improved things for us (travelling together everyday with one set of keys and no phone internet because you are new to the country is tricky!!) Within Montanita.... I am thanking previous reviewers who noted that the location here was great, well away from the party streets but close to everything. Walking through montanita, some streets are pure chaos, so if you want a relaxing stay and arent here to party, its imperative to look for this! Hostal itself, I can confirm this is not a party hostal which is what we were looking for. It's small enough (two floors of rooms) to be quiet and cosy and the communal areas like toilet, kitchen and rest areas never feel congested. It is also the closest hostal to the best amenities in this town and away from the trashy businesses blaring out music. It is a street away from a supermarket, a top rated inexpensive favourite for dinner (La terreta) and also a top rated inexpensive breakfast place is right there (Sweet spot) too and the beach is just down the driveway... It's also clean, the kitchen is very well maintained and the room (triple dorm) is basic but has everything....secure locks, mosquito net, a window, a fan. The room isn't as cosy as some other places (a lamp would go a long way to make it cosier) but the other touches in the hostal make up for it, the rooftop terrace is a good place to hang out, as well as the downstairs hang area. Excellent hostal and I'm glad I read the previous reviews to recommend coming here, it has been good for us.

It's definitely worth the money. Very simple just to sleep and shower in my case

“Little gem”

Fantastic, cute little home away from home. Safe, quiet (whilst still in close walking distance to where it's all happening) and nicely decorated. In walking distance to the main bus station. And super close to the beach. Lovely host too :) We loved it here!

“Good location, value for money.”

The lady who works there is really nice. she let me stay after the check out time to get the bus in the afternoon. She was always helpful when i needed something. Is close to the beach, there is a supermarket really close. Has kitchen and filtered drinking water. Small place not too many rooms so its quiet.

Very clean, at a good price and very close to the beach and to a big supermarket. Personnel is amazing and very helpful. Finally, is located in a very quiet neighbourhood. Really quiet especially during the night.
