Good location and the host was just super kind with us and very flexible for the check-in time. The dog is so lovely and might go with you for a walk

Lovely owners, friendly and helpful. Nice balcony area with tables and hammocks. Kitchen was fit for purpose. Filtered water available 24hrs. The hostel itself is pleasant and quiet. Laundry and mini Market just a few doors down. Good eateries within a stones throw.

The area was beautiful, the sandy beaches nice and clean close to everything, the staff were amazing given us all the information we needed for our stay. The facilities casa Mafer have made our trip more comfortable.

Wonderful location with great staff very helpful and knowledgeable of the area and well run by Mafer. Returned after 32 weeks and had a great time both times. Nice Kitchen with stove, refrigerator, plates, Pots and Pans to use. Would came again!

Great Location near Bus stop. Great staff Carlos and Marfer were helpful and knowledgeable of the Town and extender beach communities and offered tours at great prices. . There were Groceries stores and restaurants nearby and economical .

No recomendable! Its not a nice place. No confortable also for dogs. I found cockroach in my badroom. The badroom havent door. No air conditioner. Very small parking. People no friendly!

Fairly good position, it has free drinking water and hot showers, the staff was helpful and it was the cheapest place in Montañita.

The staff go over and above here, very helpful in booking a tour to Isla de la Plata and making sure I got there safely. The room was clean and comfortable, with aircon. The kitchen is small but had what we needed. The location is very close to the centre but not too close to the party hostels and bars, so ideal for a quieter stay.

The owner was super nice and very helpful, very nice facilities.

“Best place to stay in Montanita if you are looking for a quiet accomodation”

Great place to stay in Montanita, very quiet but just a few minutes walking from the restaurants, store, and beach. The owner gave us good advices about the things to do and was very friendly. We extended our stay to a week because we were feeling great ! the kitchen is small but it was sufficient for us to cook everything we wanted.

“Wonderful host, great location and good value for money”

Mafer was an amazing host, so welcoming and helpful. I had a room without AC at first and had some trouble with the heat, so Mafer got me an extra fan, then moved me to another room with AC the next day. I also had a nasty bite on my toe which rendered me pretty helpless with walking and she went out of her way to help me to the pharmacy, offered to bring me some food and generally took care of me! The location is on the main road, 5 minutes from the bus station and 5 minutes from the beach. The wifi worked perfectly. The room(s) were big enough with decent bathrooms and showers. The place was clean and the terrace upstairs is a great area to relax in the hammock and watch the world go by.

Even if nobody spoke english, owner tryied to be very helpfull, I appreciate it. My first impression was not great, in Tena or Banos I could have better for lower price. That changed when I had a chance to see some other hostels in Montanita. This one is still one of better. Montanita is not Banos. Because I stayed 5 nights, there was a nice surprice, my price included a tour to Salango island, it was realy nice.

This was a fantastic hostel run by a lovely family that made me feel very welcome indeed. The room was large, clean and comfortable, and the whole property is very relaxing with great communal areas. Only a very short walk to the centre of Montanita, but far enough to feel peaceful and relaxed . Would highly recommend this place :)
