“Excellent vibes, clean, social and the perfect place to eat sleep yoga surf repeat.”

I loved the inclusive yoga surf vibe. The close proximity to the beach, grocery store, cafes, yoga and surf rent/lessons. The breakfasts are amazing and the outdoor kitchen had everything you needed to make a nice meal. My room was cleaned everyday. The shared bathrooms and showers are cleaned 2x/day and the landscaping and art is very pretty. Complimentary beach towel and beach cruisers are also provided. I love this hostel yoga shala. Jackson, the manager and Tamara the owner are so kind and genuine. It is definately my go to when I come back to Montanita.

A great location in Montanita close to the point break. It is down the quieter and prettier end of Montanita and a 10minutes walk into the main town on the beach. Supermarket close by. It has all the facilities you need, surfboard hire, Spanish lessons were brilliant with Dario, the yoga is excellent, kitchen to prepare meals and the breakfast which was included is the best we have had in travelling for 2 months. The staff are really friendly and helpful! Great place to stay beautiful and comfortable surroundings.

Everyone was amazing g and loved the place!

Everything. Amazing breakfast. Healthy and different everyday. Fantastic staff. Nice atmosphere, met really cool people. The room are impeccable and cleaned everyday. The bed is comfy and our towels changed regularly lots of room in the garden and everywhere to chill Games, pool table and the sea isn2 min walk away. The hostel is near cafe bars but is it quiet. Zen The best hostel we have been.

Casa del Sol is one of those stays were you immediately feel part of the community. Jackson, Tamara, Andres, Alejo and the team make you feel welcome right away. The facility is amazing with a great outdoor kitchen, a big yoga room with great daily sessions, surf boards and professors (local 7x champion). Rooms have everything you could ask for and are made daily for your convenience. Overall loved my 2.5 weeks stay there and if I am coming back to Ecuador, Casa del Sol will be on top of my list!

Excellent laid back place with super friendly staff, we really enjoyed the hospitality and stay a lot. Very patient and relaxed, also with children. Highly recommended!!! Couldn’t be better

“Best place to stay in Montanita”

Great location and in easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. Staff was super friendly and helpful especially Jackson and Andres . Free breakfast was absolutely delicious. Great energy, very social, big kitchen, quiet for a good night, comfortable beds. Also loved the yoga classes. Can’t fault this gorgeous hostel.

Great hostel with nice breakfast, kind people, chill vibe and good rooms. They booked the Isla de la Plata Tour for us and we got to see an Albino whale!! We were so lucky! Thanks again, amaaaazing Tour and tour guide

The staff was incredible, thank you to them! Refillable water stations and surf break just out front make life very comfortable.

Best Hostel in Montanita The location is ideal, Stones throw from the beach. All the staff are amazing Alejo, Andres, Jackson, Jaunito and Tamara the owner who is great. You feel welcome from the moment you arrive, Jackson Showed me straight around, gave me some good insights to the town, you immediately feel comfortable and before you know it a beer is in your hand, Alejo is playing a song, Andres is helping me with Spanish and discussing the surf points and Tamara is inviting you to Yoga. Every morning breakfast is served by Jaunito a great place to debrief from the night before. There is fantastic kitchen facilities, we utilised for group Asados and mexican pot luck. There is also a great chance to practise Spanish with lessons. I had lessons every day with Dario and my Spanish improved massively. Finally the hostel seems to attract great people all of whom like me seem to extend making a great energy to hang around after surfs.

The daily breakfast was great, in a very relaxing environment! The rooms were kept clean by friendly staff. Arguably the best location in La Punta. It's a short walk across the street to the beach, with food options nearby. There's a family owned restaurant next-door where you can get a huge plate for $3.50 US. You can take Yoga classes here and receive surf lessons by awesome instructors! 100% coming back. Chef Juanito has been there since the beginning of Montanita growing as a city + Jackson, hotel Manager, was very helpful and an awesome dude.

“Incredible, cosy, friendly, fun!”

Absolutely loved our stay here, Tamara and the whole team were just amazing. The room was comfortable and had daily housekeeping. The outdoor guest kitchen had everything we needed, perfect hang out spaces, and the overall vibe was unmatched, only a stones throw away from the gorgeous beach. Not forgetting the yummy, fresh breakfasts which change daily - the best breakfasts we have had in 3 months since travelling South America! We have never felt so at home in such a short amount of time!

“Feels like home”

Casa sits at the heart of La Punta, and it's easy to understand it is well known among travelers and locals. The location is perfect. Just 100 meters from the beach, you will find both the point break and beach break, making it very convenient for surfers. You can easily check the waves from the property and be in the water within minutes. At the same time, it is about 800 meters away from the town's center, so it is peaceful at night. The yoga classes stand out as the best in town, attracting not only guests but locals and visitors from other accommodations who specifically come to Casa for their great instructors. For digital nomads, Casa has created an ideal workspace environment. You'll find various spots throughout the property where remote workers sit together. The management has prioritized reliable internet connectivity by having all their three hotspots be from different providers. In the evenings, the reception area often turns into the local gathering spot, where guests and locals alike share drinks, creating an authentic community atmosphere that's hard to find elsewhere. Many of the guests at Casa are returning guests. This was my third stay, and like many others who keep coming back, I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Very cozy and friendly atmosphere! I also started doing Yoga in Tamara's classes and is has been fabulous thanks to her great and caring way of guiding through the session. Make sure to come by Casa del Sol if you are in Montañita, even if they don't have space and it's just for a beer!

“Best hostel in Ecuador”

Most beautiful hostel in whole Ecuador for sure. Everything is made with love to the detail. I felt at home right away and the staff, dogs and cats were super nice. Good place to stay for a long time. The breakfast was also really good. It‘s really close to the beach so perfect for checking waves and surfing.
