Wonderful, comfortable, characterful and gorgeous property. The owner/manager lady was superb and made our stay perfect. There was delicious wine available for purchase and breakfast was lovely. Beds were very comfortable and the decor was stunning. Thank you for a very memorable birthday stay.

The junior suite was lovely - 2 rooms - the upper one with a panoramic view over the landscape. Comfortable beds. Great central location in an atmospheric building. Breakfast was Ok - nothing special - but fine for us.

Everything was more than perfect! The staff were incredibly nice and friendly, the place was clean, and the furniture was comfortable. The atmosphere was absolutely lovely. I highly recommend dining at the restaurant under the stairs, San George — the food and service there are outstanding!

The medieval building belongs to a wealthy family in Montalcino and is e pleasure to walk through, with several ancient pieces of furniture, frames and objects. It's located in the centre of the town and very easy to reach. The hotel manager is very friendly and outgoing. Breakfast was good, and the property managers also own a restaurant closeby where you can have a nice dinner/lunch.

I had an amazing stay here, the hotel was beautiful, the room very authentic and comfortable, most importantly the hotel owner Mara was so accommodating to me and went above and beyond, making my stay in Montalchino that bit more special for that im very grateful. Location couldn't be better, would strongly recommend staying here.

Charming old property in centro. Mara was extremely helpful and even came to pick us from the nearest train station which is not in Montalcino. I had enquired about an iron and a full mirror while booking, as I had to attend a wedding. Both items had been procured and made available upon arrival. Also, our suite had stairs that led up to a whole extra attic bedroom with stunning views over the countryside, which was a surprise, as it was not mentioned in the booking site. It had an air conditioner but was way too hot to actually sleep in as the full glass windows caught the sun like a hothouse.
