Location was amazing, the terrace overlooking the town and out to the castle was wonderful. Great to be able to cook a few meals. The lady who greeted us was very helpful and let us in early as it was pouring with rain. Free carparking down the hill was easy and convenient.

“Heartwarming”

The best location in Montalcino. In a beautiful picturesque street with many restaurants and trattorias. Above a very beautiful wine store. The people are super friendly and help you in any which way they can.

“Great spot and great hosts”

The location was amazing right opposite the castle. We had a choice of the rooms but unfortunately not the one with the balcony which everyone raves about! Simon and Denise were great hosts. Denise gave us a wonderful wine tasting and recommended a pre-dinner wine for us to drink, including a couple of wine glasses to drink from. The A/C worked really well which was perfect as the temperature was in the mid 30's. You need to go inside the wine store to check-in in case you wonder where the reception is located.

Superb location with a balcony overlooking the fortress and within easy walking distance of the town. The balcony was a beautiful spot to eat breakfast and equally watch the sunset with some sundowners. We were made to feel very welcome and received excellent restaurant recommendations which was very useful as there are lots to choose from. We can't wait to come back!

“Unpleasant and obnoxious lady at the reception”

The location was in the walking distance from the good wine tasting places in the ”centre”. The host Simone was nice, so it could have been a good experience.

The location is right in the city center, in the heart of Montalcino, next to the castle. The public and free parking is nearby, but if you have luggage, it’s better to park close, unload your bags, and then move the car to the parking lot. There is no elevator to reach the rooms, only stairs. However, the place is great, and we were well received. Breakfast is not provided, but there are nearby markets, and the room has a minibar. We recommend it – a great place to stay.

The balcony is fabulous!

The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. We had a lovely view from our bedroom window. It is centrally located and so easy to walk around in the small town. Communication with our host Simone, was excellent. Denise is an an absolute gem. Their recommendation for supper turned out to be super.

We were on the top floor in a small apartment with a terrace. The views were amazing, especially at sunset. The location was beside the Castle, with nearby parking and easy access to all the main routes. It was a 5 minute walk to the main square. We loved the apartment and it's location. Simon is a very friendly and pleasant host, and nothing was too much trouble for him.

The room was very clean with everything that we need. Simon and wonderful Dinis know so much about the wine in this area and they help us a lot. When we stay there we feel like at home

“Excellent stay in the old town.”

We have had an apartment on the very top of the house with beautiful views from the balcony both to the old town an castle. You can make a nice dinner there with the views. Comfy bed and everything you need for the stay.

The location was great. The room was very spacious. You need to go inside the wine store to check-in in case you wonder where the hotel is located.

Friendly host, window opens up to the castle, centrally located

We were able to check in quite early and were even offered the ability to upgrade our room to the penthouse suite. After seeing the views from the balcony of the suite we knew we had to upgrade - absolutely stunning! The suite itself was quite spacious with a little kitchen, kitchen table, and couch. The staff who helped us check in was so kind and lovely and then Simone, the owner, introduced himself later on and ensured everything was to our liking. He is also so kind and always smiling!
