Montelbano is a peaceful little town, which is a nice base to explore Puglia. Although I have been travelling from accommodation to accommodation during my time in Puglia, I was pleasantly surprised by the state and quality of Villa Ricciardi. The house looks brand new, it's very clean, high quality materials are used and everything looks and feels splendid. Also a big compliment to the host, Antonio, as he has been giving me lots of information about the surroundings and giving me tips on where to go next. If you want a peaceful retreat, in a little small town in Puglia, and you come by car, go to Villa Ricciardi

“Excellent place to stop for three persons, coming from the late arrival of a ferry in Brindisi.”
The apartment is amazing, feels brand new and very smartly fitted out. It was perfect for the three of us to stay in (a couple+a friend), with the extra sofa/bed separated from the bedroom. Our host was very friendly and helpful. He recommended (and booked for us) a really excellent local restaurant, which was one of the best meals of our trip.
