Loved the peacefulness of staying out of town. Lovely cozy braai area with a wood fired hot tub and plenty of wood supplied for the tub fire. Very friendly and helpful owners who left us some lovely snacks.

Okkie and Paula were kind, warm and friendly hosts who treated us more like extended family. I'm a South African and it was delightful to enjoy their legendary warm South African hospitality. They welcomed us on arrival and Okkie gave us a brief tour of the farm, pointed out nearby walking trails and shared information about the local area. As requested, the hot tub was ready for use on our arrival. Inside the cottage awaited a welcome gift of fresh fruit, dried fruit (made by the hosts), fresh sourdough bread, home baked biscuits, and a bottle of Montagu muscadel. The cottage was cosy and well appointed. The wifi worked well, the hot water was consistent and the water pressure good. The beds were really comfortable. There was a lovely outdoor dining area with electrical sockets and a hotplate, which was great for preparing breakfast. The hot tub was fabulous! The water temperature was excellent and it was spacious. Okkie provided a generous amount of firewood and kindling and there were matches and firelighters. The wood pieces were just the right size, so everything was ready for use. The accommodation is rustic rather than luxurious but that's exactly what we wanted. I really appreciated the many thoughtful touches in the cottage. It was as if they really took a careful look around and added everything they thought someone might need. There was insect spray, air freshener, a hairdryer, adaptor plugs, a clothes rack for damp towels and swimming costumes, to name a few items. The kitchen was well equipped with a microwave, hotplate and oven, toaster and coffee maker. A full size fridge was available. The kitchen had limited work surfaces, so not meant for major food preparation. A previous reviewer had complained about the cottage being too close to the road. Yes it is close and there was some traffic noise, but it's not a highway, so the traffic noise wasn't really a problem.

Exceptional guests and very well catered for, from start to finish. Willingness to assist in all matters that came short, was very well received. The little things and that we actually came from same location, without knowing, was comforting.

We had a great time with 2 adults and children. Safe and secure, the hot tub was a treat and the closeness to nature was fantastic. Lots of other surprises in the house was much appreciated.

The Owners Paula and Ockie had already started the Hot Tub anticipating our arrival! Our kids loved every moment. On top of that, we were very blessed to be allowed to bring our Dog with us. We were very pleasantly received on arrival as well as greeting when we left.

The hospitality of this couple is impeccable. Attention to detail and a warm welcome was accompanied by beautiful surroundings. Wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely be back. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. We had everything and more that we needed and were spoiled rotten with homemade treats and fresh farm produce. The hot tub is the perfect end to either a warm or cold day.
