“Amazing Safari experience”

We enjoyed a 3 night stay - from the welcome on arrival until the day we left, it was an unforgettable & magical experience. The lodge is small, which makes the service very personal. The rooms are beautifully furnished, elegant, luxurious, and spacious, featuring a deck to enjoy the outside space. The lodge has a pool and a games room for entertainment.It is set in a remote location with no cell phone reception; however, you have free Wi-Fi to use, which worked great for us, located in the furthest room. The game drives were amazing, two per day, we managed to see 4 of the Big 5 very close up, plus other animals. The experience was a true bush/safari experience! Thank you to Nugent & Terence for their impeccable service!

This is a wonderful 5-star hotel set in an amazing natural environment. The wildlife around the property and the game drives are truly special and adds a unique, memorable dimension to the stay. “Magical, beautiful lodge in remote mountain location - just wow wow wow 🤩”

Everything! A magical experience in remote location. The lodge was amazingly beautifully furnished and very large with its own balcony. The main building is stunning with little pool etc. our game driver TK was so informative with a great sense of humour driving over rough rocky terrain determined to track down the animals. A truly beautiful place in the Klein Karoo breathtaking being so close to lions, buffalo, white rhino, giraffes, kudu, springbok etc. stopping for a glass of wine in the evening or coffee early morning in the bush!

Amazing location with access to see the big five. The rooms were out of this world and the pool and dining area decorated to a very high level. The staff were so warm and welcoming. We were lucky enough to see lions, elephants, buffalo’s, rhinos, ostriches, springbok, giraffes and more!

We were right to book this establishment. The location is incredible, in the middle of nature with exceptional scenery. Our guide TK was incredible, so professional, kind and funny, we'll remember these great excursions for the rest of our lives. He knows nature and animals inside out. The staff is absolutely adorable and very professional, thank you Shaun , Kudsai, emily, we will never forget you, you are fantastic. I really want to congratulate the owner for having the audacity to develop this establishment and hope he is aware that without these lovely staff the experience would not have been the same so I hope he takes good care of them. I'm an entrepreneur in France and know how difficult it is to get qualified and competent staff.

“A Magical Honeymoon & Birthday Getaway – Unforgettable Experience!”

We had the pleasure of staying here for our honeymoon and my birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the lovely Pauline and her team, setting the tone for a magical stay. Our lodge was stunning—better than we could have ever hoped for—and the food was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly and always went above and beyond to assist us, with a special mention to Nugent, who made our stay even more special. Because of the intimate nature of the reserve, we also had the opportunity to connect with other guests, which added to the overall experience. The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the game drives. During our three-night stay, we participated in five drives, with the morning ones proving particularly rewarding. Our ranger, the wonderful TK, not only kept us safe but also enriched our experience with his deep knowledge of the wildlife. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our honeymoon and birthday celebration so memorable. We would love to return in a few years and relive the magic!

Mont Eco is an exceptional destination for encountering the Big Five in a setting that feels authentic and eco-conscious. Their commitment to sustainability is a refreshing change in the increasingly crowded safari market. The lodge itself is small and intimate, offering only seven rooms, which makes the experience cosy, personal, and exclusive. Despite the reserve being a modest 65 km², it feels endless. Even on busy days, there are only two jeeps out at a time, ensuring you won’t encounter other visitors—just your group and the incredible wildlife. The staff truly elevate the experience. Given the small size of the lodge, you have the chance to interact with them on a more personal level, creating connections that go beyond the typical hospitality dynamic. Their friendliness and attentiveness made our stay feel even more special. The rooms are a standout feature—spacious, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully designed. Each bathroom is practically its own suite, with three separate areas that combine luxury and functionality. The Booking.com photos honestly don’t do these rooms justice; they are far more impressive in person and add a real sense of indulgence to the stay.

The location, and overall aesthetic design, were excellent. The game rangers were extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and professional. The chef produced some excellent food, however, he also, unfortunately, produced a couple of really poorly executed dishes.

Everything was superb, the comfort and luxury of each lodge, outstanding food exceptional friendly staff. Charles who took us out on the game drives was exceptionally knowledgeable about the animals as well as the flora and fauna., and we had closer viewings of 4 of the big 4. We only missed seeing a leopard. This was a stay that will leave a lifetime of memories.
