“Well worth returning to this gem”

Breathtaking scenery. Great accommodation with a jacuzzi!

We stayed one night on Ludicks Farm on our way to Cape Town....and it was absolutely worth it! The ostrich farm itself is already one reason for a stop, but the views make it so much more worth it. The little villas are comfortable and decorated with taste, including some beautiful paintings. The fireplace outside caters for the extra countryside atmosphere. Etienne is a great host, clearly loves the place and takes very good care of the villas. After a delicious breakfast catered for at request, he showed us around the farm while explaining the various expects of farming the ostriches. We all greatly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and was very comfortable. We loved the hot tub.

Secluded and a great place to relax ahead of the long flight home. Lovely amenities and pool. Host was really helpful and breakfast service very good (loved homemade Jam)

“Beautiful Views with Hot Tub!”

We loved staying at Ludicks Farm hosted by Etienne (and the ostriches!) The cottage was perfect for us as family of 4, we enjoyed having the hot tub on for sundowners alongside the gorgeous views for the rest of the day. A cooked breakfast was served by Etienne (for a little bit of an extra cost) which was welcomed. We enjoyed the proximity to Montagu too

The location is great with beautiful views of the valley and mountains. The two different pools with the addition of a third heated pool are absolutely perfect. The bedrooms are perfect with on-suites for each room and the aircons throughout the house made the very warm days outside so much more comfortable. You are provided with towels and bathrobes, and you can request for daily cleaning as well. The kitchen is fully stocked with all appliances you would need with a gas stove and oven that works perfectly, and the house has a great sound system as well. The host was also great with quick responses. The farm is close enough to Montagu and Barrydale for shopping needs but far enough for calm. There are lots of activities to do if you want to like running or hiking to the big dam, hiking the mountains or visiting wine farms in the area.

“Montague breakaway for larger groups”

Beautiful decor and great for entertaining. Large pool and highly recommend for a larger group. Etienne is a great host and one can request extras like a braai for your group. A dam is also 10min away so a nice trip out for a few hours.

“Break from Reality”

Etienne was a fantastic host. Friendly, accomodating and helpful and catered to our every need. We stayed in the Standard Cottage but this too exceeded expectations. All and all a fantastic getaway and I can highly recommend this very peaceful, quiet and tranquil experience.

The house is just wonderful situated. Nice views, nice privacy and everything you need for a super relaxed stay. Swimming pool, hot tub, braai and a fantastic Dam in your backyard. And Etienne and his wife went out of there way to even arrange braai and a Christmas lunch for us, let alone showing us the Dam! Amazing!

I highly recommend this accomodation! A comfortable spacious cottage, perfect location, very nice owner who helps you with everything. You can also book gamedrives and winetours via him. Ostriches in the backyard, and an amazing star heaven at night you can enjoy from the hottub. This really is a hidden gem!!

Perfect venue, the host Etienne is very accommodating. We would definitely visit again.

Lovely accommodation on a farm in the little karoo. The host, Etienne, was very welcoming and attentive to details. We stayed in a two-bedroom chalet that had all the things for one's comfort and relaxation. In the morning he brought us a suberb cooked breakfast. Lovely stay overall.

The best place we stayed during our time in South Africa. Everything was right about it: the beautiful location, the amazing house, a super helpful host, and incredible facilities. We highly recommend it to others!

The location was just perfect for a quick break away from home (Cape Town). The cottage was clean and had everything you would require. The beds were very comfortable.
